INTEC Wing Grip for Game Boy Advance SP

The INTEC Wing Grip for the Game Boy Advance SP is a great add on for the portable handheld console. The Wing Grip clips on to the SP so that it will not wobble around or drop your SP if you move around a lot (Like me). The Wing grip adds an incredible feel to the SP and almost feels like you are holding a Nintendo Gamecube Controller in your hands. Now compared to a Gamecube controller the Wing Grip does not feel as wide, this being because the SP is not wide at all. The Wing feels great if you are one of those whose hands get uncomfortable and start to cramp after half an hour or so of gaming. The only thing I found kind of lame about this product is that it is not weighed down. It is very light. If you leave the SP open and put it down, it will fall onto the top screens back because the SP weighs more than the grip does. I cannot tell you if it is safe from being destroyed if dropped from a tables height but from the feel of it, it feels like it would not break so easily. All though it is light, it does not feel very weak.You will have full access to all of the SP' buttons and switches. You cannot see it in the picture but the volume slider is just as accessable as it is without the Grip and as you can see in the picture, the On/Off switch has a cut out so that you may have complete access to it with the Wing Grip clipped on. The Wing Grip clips on both sides of the SP. It clips near the Volume slider and the On/Off switch. I extremely recommend this device for those who are experiencing pain while playing this handheld. Do not hesitate to order this. It only comes in one color but it is pretty stylish in my opinion even if your SP does not match. I sold my platinum SP for the Graphite SP which has a backlight making the screen look like a PSP/DS/TV screen. If you do not own the Graphite SP then I also recommend you purchase it, it is the best of the SP models to own.I recommend that when you feel like putting the SP down with the Wing Grip equipped that you fold your SP and then set it down. This way, it will not fall over due to the unbalanced weight.I give this device an 8 out of 10.It is stylish, lightweight, and brings great comfort.Hope I helped you make up your mind about purchasing this INTEC Wing Grip for the GBA SP!

PROS n CONAs a 22 year old true gamer, I've used every system. when I went back and bought a Gameboy SP to re live some glory days since they remake a lot of NES and SNES games for the Gameboy Advance/SP. Once I got my games and stuff it felt like my hands just seemed to eat the entire thing... I came across this grip looking for some games and cables and thought why not try it?PROS - Great price. This thing is very light weight and clips on easy with a couple nubs that fit in the holes that are for the screws on the Gameboy. This really keeps the grip in place, and it also has open areas for where the volume and power are located.CONS - There's only one thing--- !(PARENTS)! --- Though its super lightweight it doesn't feel like it would survive a good drop and when I had this system as a child I dropped it ALL THE TIME.Overall I love it, just cant give the 5 stars because this more so a kid friendly system and I don't feel like it will last long in their hands.

I started playing the sp again and was mildly irritated by the small size of it. Never really bothered me before. I am used to the xbox 360 controller. I am 6'1" with large hands. This attaches to the back of the sp very easy, clip-on style, will not fall off. It would be nice if they made them in different colors as I have a blue sp. It does indeed make the sp more comfortable to hold, however it's not a world of difference when you take it off. If holding the sp is very uncomfortable for you then it is worth $7 but i probably would have saved my $. Does not look like it would survive a fall from table height.

This is a must for big hands for anyone who still plays with their old GBA SP as I do (old games like Castlevania series and Fire Emblem among others). The original wide format GBA was better for my hands but the screen was impossible without direct light, so the SP was well received. But, alas, it's way too small for my hands. This completely solves that problem, makes it very comfortable. I would say even more comfortable than a wide format handheld (like the DS/3DS). I love it! I've knocked off 1 star due to price--this is a great product but not worth $15.
