Great for the people that don't use it everyday, but when you need to get s*%t done this is the tool to use.

Bottom line: if you're interested in an old-school paper planner, I'd recommend this one. I'm a 25-year-old male, in law enforcement, working three jobs w/ a spouse and seven month old. I noticed about a year ago I was spending too much time on my smartphone, so I downgraded to a Nokia 3310 and outsourced all other tasks to other, "dumber" products, like notebooks and iPods. With my hectic life, I needed a planner that'd just flippin' work well. Enter the Lion Planner. Now, I'd used other paper planners in the past, namely Walmart brand and the Law of Attraction Planner. The problem with those is their lack of durability and over-complexity, respectively. This planner perfectly splits the difference between usefulness, organization, applicability, durability, and format flexibility. What's great about it is: 1. The size. It's small enough to carry in my patrol bag to work yet big enough to write a lot and not strain my eyes. 2. The layout. So in front you've got blank month pages, then all your blank weekly pages, then all your blank day pages. This sounds like a pain, but there are three bookmark ribbons to save your spots/current month/week/etc. This is awesome because, if you miss a day, it doesn't throw the whole planner outta whack. You can also look at your months all together. I don't know why, but this format really is nice. 3. The day pages are for scheduling and then have a small amount of that "goal-oriented" stuff, like "Goals for the Day" boxes and a small "Day's Accomplishments" box at the bottom, for those of you wanting to keep track of stuff like that, but it's not overwhelming or glaring if you don't do it. Also, each day has a big ol' "Notes and ideas" blank space, which sounds ridiculous, but I've found myself writing all sorts of things in there for later use. The best praise I can give this thing is that I actually use it after trying and tossing maybe a dozen paper planners in my life. Again, if you're in the marker for an honest-to-God physical planner outside your smartphone for whatever reason, I'd recommend this one.
