It is quiet and removes moisture from the air, just what I needed.
This is physically small and of limited capacity, but it gradually removes moisture and is quiet, with only a fan to make noise. I'm using it in a basement so the capacity is overwhelmed by a large area but I keep the basement doors closed as much as possible to limit intrusion of moist air. It gradually reduces the humidity. If I find this humidifier can't keep up, it is inexpensive enough to add another. That way I would have a backup if one isn't working.

DO NOT BE TEMPTED BY PRICE OR SIZE!!
I would give this zero stars but atlas it only allows for one to at least have one star. The product states that it is suited for 20 square meters and will collect 13.5 oz a day when temp is 86 with a RH of 80 but in the real world in a space of under 4 square meters and with an avg temp of 80 and a RH of over 80 on most days leaving this plugged in for a day produced nothing but heat and about 3-5 oz of water. It does nothing it is supposed to do. I read all of the reviews on this product yet took a chance on this product because it seemed like people reviewing didn't know what space it was designed for but for a 1/6th size space this should work effortlessly yet just fails at everything it is meant to. Do not waste your time or money, just buy a real dehumidifier.

This device was running non-stop even when showers were being taken in order to simulate an absolute worst case scenario
PROS: Quiet, Compact, Low-energyCONS: Doesn't really remove a lot of moisture. I placed this in a room I believed to be extremely humid and left it running for a couple of days. There was barely any water collected over that time span. For an experiment, I placed it in the bathroom and left it running for a day. This device was running non-stop even when showers were being taken in order to simulate an absolute worst case scenario. At the end of the test period, the water catcher was not even 1/4 full. There is also another con....the AC adapter gets EXTREMELY hot for such a little device....hot to the point where I'm actually concerned to put it anywhere.

Mixed feelings. Seemingly worked "OK" but died after 11 months. Questionable Humidistat Accuracy.
This product helped lower the average humidity level from around 55% to 32% in a small room that we keep our Zen Float Tent in. Our Zen Tent holds 200 gallons of heated water inside it with two ventilation caps that humidity escapes from so the room is naturally more humid than other rooms in our house. This device seemingly worked well but always perplexed me because it hardly ever collected in any water. I've had it in use for almost 11 months and never had to dump the water once. The most it ever collected was an inch and half deep in the collection reservoir. After nearly 11 months, it just completely died. Also, the lowest I could set the on/off humidistat level at was 20%. Often it would shut off as if it hit that target and would read 20% on the display although the secondary hygrometer I keep in the room would show closer to 32-36% and never below 28%. I mention this as other people seem to notice the humidistat seemingly not being accurate when compared to other hygrometers. I like the idea of having a programmable humidistat so it isn't necessarily running constantly and this model seems to be one of the cheapest on Amazon with that functionality. I'm torn now as if I want to replace with the same model or move on to something else.

Rare features, bad power supply.
I liked it fine for 2 years. I was actually thrilled to find a compact, quiet unit WITH an automatic humidistat for our motorhome. (Why are these so rare? Is it because it's so difficult to manufacture a cheap humidstat that is even remotely accurate?)Then, the power supply just quit. I have read other reviews about these power supplies dying. I couldn't find this model of adapter to purchase anywhere (3E Switching Adapter GQ65-120500-E2). Though, ideally, I'd buy a different brand of power supply, but I don't know how to identify one with the correct specs (voltage, Watts, plug, polarity, etc.).I have emailed [email protected] to ask about getting a replacement power supply and I'll update you here on what they say.Update 2017 April 2: Eric at Ivation was kind enough to quickly send me a replacement power supply, however they sent the wrong one (7.5V instead of 12V). I downgraded my stars to 1 because I have been trying to get a response from Ivation support with multiple emails (and an online support request form) since January 23 with no response.Update 2017 April 13: I have upgraded my stars back to 4: After a couple of months of feeling neglected I discovered something important: Their email filter will block emails from all but some known domains (like gmail.com). I called the service number and left a message. Someone got back to me within a day. I re-sent my email thread to them using my GMail account and they got it and acted on it right away!I have now purchased a second dehumidifier from them, an updated model.

Good looking and compact workhorse
Our whole house (~1100 sq ft) is humid and we only have this machine in our bathroom which is the problem area. It runs non stop and handles the room well. I feel like it also reduces the whole houses humidity by a tiny bit as well though thats never been a goal, just a nice side effect. Its one of the nicest looking units I could find in a nice small size. I empty it ever 4-5 days or so.

DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY!
I bought mine on April 11th and haven't even turned it on for a week, tried to do so today and it wont's start...It already broke!!! It only gives you the reading and you can feel when it's supposed to start but it just won't turn on. Even so when it did work the first few days it was clear that this dehumidifier is not half as powerful as advertised, I literally have it in an outdoor closet size compartment and it never was able to drop RH below 70%, I know because I have a separate RH monitor. The one built in this unit is also way off, above by around 20% margin.Simply put, now that I DO need it the machine simply won't even start. And I bought it just over a month ago. The worst flippin purchase I have ever made...and expensive too for the piece of garbage it is.Just don't buy it, you'll be as sorry and pissed as I am right now.
