Produces Shirataki Noodles Just Fine if you Don't Mind a Slightly Different Texture Than the Packaged Noodles
If you are using this to make Shirataki noodles with Glucomannan powder, in my experience, it will work. If you are already familiar with and use Shirataki noodles, the noodles that this produces will be different.First, they will be thicker than even the spaghetti Shirataki, even if you use the thinnest die to make the noodles.Second, they will be lumpy. Each time you twist the press to extrude the noodle it will pinch the area where it stops a little smaller so the noodles will not be a smooth consistency like the noodles you buy in the package. That being said, my husband likes the noodles this makes as much as he does the ones in the package. He was an avid Ramen noodle eater...I mean AVID. He needed to cut down on his carbs and we have successfully substituted Shirataki noodles for his Ramen. I like to use the homemade noddles for his lunch bowls (we use the Goya seasoning packets instead of the Ramen packets) and I use the store-bought for dinners where the noodles are front and center, such as Chicken Alfredo. When I have a bit more time I'll come back and post a photo of the noodles this produces.

This is junk. DON'T waste your money! It's cheap for a reason!
I have used this item four times and it has broken. I do dishes by hand. I do not even own a dishwasher, so it wasn't washing it in too hot water that caused this cheap piece of plastic to break so quickly. I have had it exactly one month; used it three times - today was the fourth but it hasn't worked..After four uses the bottom ring has come loose from its screw-on, which lets pasta dough leak out in a massive disc. It doesn't come out of the holes. I know how to make pasta dough, and I like it quite soft. The first 3 times I used this, the mixture came out of the little holes nicely, and made lovely long strings, as it is supposed to. But in less than a month of owning this, today, for no apparent reason, when I turned the handle it was shoving the pasta mix out of the side of the ring.At first I could not work out what was happening, so I disassembled it, cleaned it and inspected it, and I can see the problem. Apparently I am out of luck and cannot replace it or get a refund. I won't be sing this seller - or this product, obviusly - again. Now I have to look for a similar but properly made item that will do the same job.

Just ok --cannot handle thicker doughs
I bought this to make homemade shirataki noodles. My main complaint is that it cannot take hardly any backpressure: if the dough is somewhat sticky, the ring that secures the plunger comes apart. This is very annoying when trying to extrude pasta. I ended up having to make a fairly thin dough, unscrewing the top and just pushing the plunger down (instead of turning it like a screw), but this kind of limits what you can do. Otherwise, it is easy to clean and very inexpensive, so I suppose you get what you pay for.

Great for Gluten-Free Pasta
Although this little contraption had terrible reviews, I thought It looked like something that might work for me. I am the author of the cookbook Irresistibly Gluten Free, I experiment with recipes all the time. I have been rolling out my gluten-free pasta and it is very time consuming. So when I saw this I thought, hey, if I can make it work it could save me a lot of time in the kitchen. All I had to do to get perfect pasta was add a little extra water to my pasta recipe made with UNflour and wal la! Terrific gluten-free pasta in minutes. I use the "Thin Spaghetti" tip and it makes very normal sized spaghetti. If you are willing to play with your recipe a bit I'd say this Pasta Pronto is definitely worth the small investment.[...]

I bought it on the advice of a recipe for homemade shiritaki noodles. It works perfectly.
This turned out to be a wonderful tool for making my own shiritaki noodles. I bought it on the advice of a recipe for homemade shiritaki noodles, and it worked perfectly. The only weird thing is that some of the discs have holes that are two sizes. I don't really understand that. I wish they were all the same size.

Great for making Konjac noodles!
I have recently been interested in making shirataki noodles and as this was the recommended pasta press, I decided to purchase it. It works quite well as per the product description to make the Konjac noodles. I am not sure it would be sturdy enough to make home-made spaghetti, but you never know.

HUGE! Heavy duty and easy to use. Strange disks though...
The size of this is HUGE compared to what I thought it would be. Nice heavy duty plastic...perfect for the "light" pasta project I needed it for.The only odd thing about it is the disks. It is strange and a bit annoying that 3 of the 6 disks have dual noodle sizes within the same disk. For example, if I wanted spaghetti, I would be extruding spaghetti and vermicelli at the same time when using the spaghetti disk. Thankfully, though, the disk I needed (vermicelli/thin spaghetti) has uniform-sized holes throughout.Comes apart completely, making cleanup easy. Top rack dishwasher safe. Comes with recipe guide too.

Well made
I haven't had a chance to use this yet but I purchased it to make wonder noodles. It seems sturdy and well made. I didn't give it 5 stars simply because I haven't used it yet but can see (and feel) how sturdy it seems.
