DeSantis Nemesis - Gun Pocket Holsters for Concealed Carry, Concealed Pocket Holster for Pistols, Revolvers, Soft, Designed for Comfort & Discreet Carry, Ambidextrous

I have always used Kramer pocket holsters; however, I added a Crimson Trace laser grip, and I needed a new holster as Kimber is 3-4 months delivery time I decided to try something different. I am pleasantly surprised with this DeSantis Nemesis holster, at less than 1/4 the price of a Kramer. A holster is a personal thing and needs to be hands on and tested by the user. It works great for me, actually exceptionally well. I would buy again without hesitation. The fit is great, the draw is easy, the holster stays in your pocket, and it works with laser grips without ordering that feature as an option. If you do pocket carry, I feel confident in saying you will be happy.

DeSantis Nemesis Vs. Sticky holster I have an Airwieght 360 exposed hammer, Airweight. Similar to the 640, 642, 637, 442 etc. DeSantis Nemesis: Good fit, well made, sticky rubber outer, satin nylon lined, nice and thin. Slightly larger, more squared off than the Sticky holster and heavier (not quite twice as heavy). It barely fits in a "Dickies" front pocket, which is an average to larger sized pocket. The bottom of the holster is open which makes it shorter than the Sticky holster by about a 5/8" or so and may allow debris to enter the barrel from the bottom (keep your pockets clean)? It seems odd that the Nemesis "flap" is so long it makes the unit too big (wide) for many pockets, but yet, is shorter than the sticky holster. With good tension (a snug waistband), this holster does a great job of keeping my J frame in place. The nylon lining aids in a smooth and easy draw. I really like the holster, I would like it more and probably use it more often for pocket carry if it wasn't so wide. I'm sincerely considering modifying the "tab." For me, It makes a perfect IWB (in the waistband) for a light revolver. Sticky holster MD5: Good fit, well made, comfy outer, coarse nylon lined, very light. Slightly smaller, more rounded than the Nemesis holster and lighter. The Sticky holster has a foamy/spongy/rubbery outer that stays in place as well as the Nemesis but at half the weight. Pocket fit is no problem in any of my pockets. Having the light weight and a "spongy" outer contributes to the comfort in concealed carry. The Sticky holster seems to have more of a "wrap around" fit making the draw need a bit more force with a revolver than the Nemesis. I suppose this is good if you are going to be hanging upside down and shaken like a kid in the hands of a bully. Kidding aside, I don't think either holster will allow your firearm to fall out under normal conditions. I really like the Sticky holsters and have one for my Ruger LCP (different model Sticky holster of course). I had the LCP in the waistband of some swim shorts and forgot it was there. A definite winner for pocket carry. However, I prefer the Nemesis for IWB carry. Against the skin, I think the Nemesis will keep more moisture away from the firearm. I failed to mention that the Nemesis is slightly stiffer, therefore making it more comfortable in the waistband with a revolver. In my opinion, for lightweight revolvers, Sticky holster for in the pocket and Nemesis for in the waistband.

Perfect. I bought a Nemesis to carry a 12oz j-frame in my pocket. Highlights: 1. Fits the gun perfectly. 2. Super comfortable in my front pocket. 3. Light enough to work in gym shorts. 4. Gun comes out like it's greased, while the holster stays put.

Arrived stiff as a frozen mackerel, but will stretch if you follow recommendations/instructions for doing so. It fits my Taurus Model 85 .38 spc very well when placed in the "in pocket" vertical position. My Model 85 will fall out if it is beyond horizontal. The holster covers the trigger guard nicely which creates a functional safety. It is a nice holster to hold the .38 weapon on my nightstand or dresser (no children in the house). This (plus DA) makes the gun table top safe for me. The downside is the retention wing is a bit too wide for most of my pants, including Levis and Dockers. The holster will fit with some work, but gun placement afterwards is not easy for me. It raises the concern of accidental discharge when trying to re-holster the weapon. To feel safe with the tight fit after I remove the holster from my pocket, I then insert the holster and gun at the same time. Otherwise this is a nice holster - just know the limitations and be careful when attempting to re-holster when in your pocket!

1st off, one of the biggest "negative" comments I read (before this purchase) was that the holster "is too big for my pocket". I will address this immediately. MOST people understand that you need to dress around your firearm. If you carry IWB, typically you end up with pants that are a bit bigger than your "normal" waist size, and/or you cinch your belt looser than normal. Those of us who carry daily usually (SHOULD always) wear a belt designed specifically for the added weight of a weapon. We choose what weapons we carry daily, THEN we accommodate that choice however we need to so we can successfully carry in the manner we wish. Prior to buying this holster for a Kimber K6S I was in the position of needing new jeans for work. I PURPOSFULLY tried on many different styles of pants (blue jeans) - looking for the biggest, deepest pockets available in my price range. When I found these, I then fit my firearm into the pocket using an Uncle Mikes holster I was "temporarily" using. Satisfied with this fit I started shopping for an EDC holster of better quality which fit my specific gun. I chose this DeSantis "The Nemesis". EXCELLENT decision! I will not go into detail about the holster itself because you can find those reviews all day long in this string. I will talk about the fit in my pocket, the best way to place the holster and firearm into my pocket and the weapon draw from the pocket. The holster, sans K6S, fits into my pocket extremely well. I found that if you insert the "wing" (the flat portion separated from the actual open holster portion by stitching) into the pocket 1st, then shift the holster into the proper vertical position, it is quite a simple task. BEFORE pushing the holster all the way down into its final position, I place my weapon into the open mouth of the holster. This is a safe way to holster for the day without blindly doing it while the holster is sunk all the way down into the pocket. I did try this process with the gun IN the holster before (partially) inserting the holster into the pocket BUT it was difficult. THIS WORKS with jeans which are a good fit on me. Not too baggy - but not skinny jeans either (I am 5"10 and about 155). In regard to the draw - because of the design and material used, I can not envision this holster EVER coming out of my pocket as I draw my firearm. I have tried to make it happen and have been unsuccessful. IF this particular holster is stated to be the appropriate fit for your weapon, buy it. BUT understand that like ANY AND ALL holster/firearm combinations - you may have to dress around your guns. Publican

Fits my M&P 38 spl bodyguard revolver. It's a bit hard to conceal from a jacket pocket if the jacket doesn't have a button closure. It also flops around if you put it in a hoodie pocket and it prints. However it draws smoothly from pants pocket and good retention. Prints a little there too. In my opinion, I'd recommend getting the superfly because of the front flap, it'll make it look like you got a big wallet in your pocket.
