Weatherproof Backpack | Pelican Mobile Protect Backpack - MPB25 (25 Liter)

This is the first backpack I purchase over $40. I did some searching and this one best suits my needs. The compartments are great and it is water resistant. Where I am it rains a lot! I generally take this bag everywhere I go even if it stays in the car from place to place. One thing I would like to see is a Velcro system to roll up the excess strap fabric after tightening the straps. I could easily purchase Velcro and cut it to my needs though. I purchased the green because I would think it remains cleaner then grey and black is too standard for me. Also green is an acceptable color for a backpack per USMC regulations to wear with uniform. The logo is in size too. The only thing that would take it out of regulations is the orange on the exterior straps. (I could cut out if someone REALLY wanted to make a deal out of it). Usually just wear it with civilian clothing though.

I have had this backpack for about two months now, and I have used it every day since it arrived. This is a very quality backpack, and it definitely lives up to the Pelican brand name. One thing to note, is this pack is smaller than it seems in the pictures. This is not an issue, as 25L is still enough volume for everyday uses. The smaller size was actually nice for me, as I carry my backpack all over my college campus. However, it is something to be aware of for those looking for camping, hiking, backpacking, etc. purposes. The pockets on the backpack are thoughtfully placed and designed. My only complaint would be about the very front pocket. This is a vertical zipper pocket on the very front, designed for small items (keys, wallet, phone, pens, etc.). I personally think the pocket may be more functional if the zipper was horizontal. With the vertical zipper running the length of the pocket, the items inside will sometimes fall out upon opening. Other than that minor change, I love everything about this backpack and I would recommend it to anyone in the market.

High quality. Read the previous reviews that it is on the small side. Which I agree if you want to store more than one laptop(which I am able to do). The challenge is that they do not slide in an out easily because the largest area is really designed for one laptop. Lots of adjustments on the straps. Nice little security loops for ends of zipper. Overall great.

This is the second time I've bought this bag. The first one lasted more than five years and had near daily use. It was even water tight till the zipper got miss aligned (why I replaced it). If you want a bag that's going to protect your stuff, not just hold it. This is the one.

I was looking for a backpack that would give my 17" laptop relatively good protection when transporting it about. Color and material are pretty solid. Doesn't feel super cheap. It's comfortable to have on your back even when pretty well loaded. It distributed the weight well across my shoulders and back, especially with the sternum strap; everything felt secure.It would have been THE backpack except they utilize a false bottom in the laptop compartment that provides about an inch air gap so your laptop never slams on the ground. Alright, no worries. Maybe I could just remove the false bottom, unfortunately the bottom of the laptop compartment doesn't have as much padding as the actual storage compartment.

I needed rain protection for walking between college classes with my backpack carrying my laptop computer, books, papers, etc. In Florida, it downpours. This backpack works. It holds everything I need comfortably even though it is not real large. It is pricey, but my Razer Laptop costs $1300.00 so it is definitely worth the peace of mind for the protection from rain. Backpack has a lifetime warranty, so you can't beat that.

I normally have a backpack every where I go. Always having a hard time finding the right one.This pelican backpack is great. Lots of space. Very light bag itself but very tough. I really enjoy how the zippers lock into place.If you are looking for an EDC backpack this is a great choice.

Quality product

The 25l version is very small. The laptop compartment barely fits a 15inch thin and light laptop. The laptop compartment is comparable to a 15l bag (I know this because I bought this as an upgrade for my 15l arcteryx bag. But unfortunately it's basically the same for my laptop, a very tight fit). The laptop compartment does not go all the way to the bottom of the bag. if it does, there would be enought room for 15inch laptop.Both of the small pocket in the front compartment and in the back, are on the top of the backpack, which makes it quite awkward to store things such as power brick and mouse. The phone pocket is too small for big phones like the note 9.There are many problem with the design but the build quality is very sturdy. I'm a rather small person and prefer small bags. For this reason I have to keep this bag. Otherwise I would return it.
