Quality product for certain
Exactly what I thought it would be. Very good product for watertight seal and durability. Temperature is and always will be a factor with installation. This is true with EPDM cover tape, TPO cover tape, seam tape, coatings etc etc. Need to order more now. Great product

Easy to install, no underlayment, good adhesion, Really Reflects the Heat of the Sun!
This Silver MFM Peal and Seal worked very well for me on my stick built, 10x12 foot Shed, in the Phoenix, Arizona area. I've never installed peal and stick before and I did it by myself. Before installing it, I ground all the OSB imperfections sticking up, down. Then I swept and vacuumed and then blew the roof off with compressed air. I soaked a rag in acetone and wiped the entire top side of the metal drip edging with it, removing any finger prints. Because the OSB requires an 1/8" gap between sheets, I covered each gap with Butyl tape to prevent the peal and seal from being pinched by expansion and contraction. I rolled the peal and seal out with 3 inches at each end and 1 1/2 inches longways over the drip rail. I cut it to length and then rolled the peal and seal back to the halfway area and carefully cut the wax paper without cutting the peal and seal. On my hands and knees, I pulled the wax paper back and rolled it up with both hands exposing the black roofing material. Then I carefully rolled the roll of peal and seal forward 6 inches at a time, while still rolling up the wax paper. I was careful to maintain a straight line because once it sticks there's no pulling it up. The instructions say to have a 3 inch overlap on each layer as you move up the roof. I did a 6 inch overlap because my roof has only a 1/4" slope to a foot. It took me 3 days to do a 16 by 14 foot roof. I'm 78 and my knees and back aint what they used to be, besides it gets hot after 9 am in the Phoenix area in April. In July I went to test the shed roof with a digital thermometer to see the temperature effects inside my shed. WOW! The outside temp at 1 pm was 106 F, the dirt temp in the sun was 148 F. Inside the shed OSB roof with the peal and seal just above it was 115 F. The shed's brick floor was 98 degrees! What a huge difference! After the temperature check I climbed up on the roof and looked for any imperfections with the peal and seal and found only one bubble that I was able to step on and flatten. This is a product that I can personally recommend. There is no underlayment required, it sticks where you put it, it's easy to install, and Boy does it reflect the heat. Greg 7/7/2026

Very cost-efficient sound insulation
Couldn't bring myself to pay the price for Dynamat and other name-brand "acoustic insulation" products. Did my research and bought this product. Very glad I did. I've used it to insulate the doors and tailgate area on my 2002 Z28 - BIG difference. Works fantastic. Yes, it's very sticky but it's not impossible to lift IF you don't accidentally let a large part of it get stuck on to the wrong area. Best to work with smaller pieces than large to avoid this. Also ordered the MR05028 EVERHARD Silicone Seam Roller 5" that was recommended on another review for this product to roll it out. There was some off-gassing for the first week after I installed it, but not after. Nothing that can't air out with the windows down.

No more leaks!!!
Amazing product! Sticks really good! I have had a roof leak for a few years. Hired a contractor, and it still leaked. Decided to try this product and I am sure glad that I did! It went on super easy with only using our hands. Using a small roller was helpful but not needed. It has really good adhesion. I removed the hex head steel roof screws and replaced them with a flat head steel roofing screws (pictured attached) I could only find them at Menards. This made it alot easier to install and it turned out great! I highly recommend this product!

Don't Let Sticky Side Touch Itself or get largely folded onto itself or you have had it!
I have a 3'4" balcony on 2nd floor to cover. Unfortunately, MFM does not make a 4 foot wide product, which I could have cut to size. Disaster happened when I tried to install the 3 foot strip flush with a first line of 4" MFM P&S. I tried to do it longitudinally matching the edge of first piece, but in so doing, the sticky side contacted itself, with a lot of folded MFM, sticky side on sticky side. Then I could not practically get it to separate even using a hot air hair dryer. A near $200 strip of MFM was ruined. I was trying to do a perfect job; but the perfect is the enemy of the good. You will read reviews where the complaint is that it would not stick to the undersurface easily & that a heat gun was required. I found that though I could not separate sections where the glue side touched the glue side, I found that this MFM came up rather easily off of the "non-asphaltic polypropylene construction" GAF FeltBuster Synthetic Roofing Underlayment" upon which I had partially laid it. IMHO it is a benefit if it does not stick tight at first -- you need some forgiveness & ability to reposition the MFM if it does not go on straight. I had rather have it that way & then have to apply a heat gun for final stick. I think that laying this peel & stick roofing is too hard for most handy guys who do most of their own home maintenance & repair; you need 2 guys who are skilled as it is hard to keep the roofing straight, peel the peeling (which at times may refuse to come loose in places), and lay the roofing without getting bad wrinkles & accidentally getting sticky side against sticky side. If I had it to do over, I think I would have used either asphalt/stone rolled roofing or the "rubber" firestone roofing for my project. Also, this aluminum is very light relective, so you won't want to use it where it relects into people's eyeballs. I will be coating it with GacoRoof coating (silicone) with a top coat of grey color; I hope the silicone sticks to the Aluminum; we shall see. The 3 Stars is temporary rating; you have to give stars to comment. It could be rated 1 star for the inexperienced, & 5 stars if one is skillful & experienced at using this. But I don't know how it will hold up (especially if you walk on it). Also I don't know what happens if you use it on a sloping roof. Will it be so slick that you will slip on it & slide off the roof or can you walk on it with sneakers???

Great product
I ordered this to replace a roof slide out on a camper, and at first I was weary because it wasn't has adhesive. But once we got it on and rolled it with a heavy pipe there was a few wrinkles and after letting it set in the sun after applying, it was like the adhesive activated and it was perfect, no more wrinkles, it was honestly like magic and guess what no more leaks at all! Would suggest buying this for any type of roofing or patching jobs! It's amazing and the sliver of course deflects the heat!

Four Stars
If your roof is not flat it will not adhere well. My roof is warped so not usable..
