It snaps to your phone to make sure it doesn't move, unfortunately, the suction it formed kept breaking the seal and the mount fell off the windshield.

works fine and even fits my iPhone 6 plus! Does vibrate a little, but I don't know if all windshield mounts do this.

I purposely purchased a slightly more expensive phone mount to avoid dealing with the faulty ones and this is easily one of the dumbest contraptions I have ever purchased in my life; the clips started falling apart immediately after opening the package, the suction cup hardly sticks to any surface, and the auto-clamp button in the center of the mount was stuck shut after one use. I do not recommend this product. The $5 phone mount I purchased from the Dollar Store works better than this.

Got this for my husband because I was concerned about him looking at his GPS on his phone while driving; feel much safer now that he has this. It's very nice and good for the price

Compatibility:I was a little skeptical at first, but the left and right arms of the mount open wide enough to grab hold of my Galaxy S4 while the phone remains inside it's Otter Box casing! It fits just barely, having maybe a few millimeters to spare, but it fits! That's a fulfillment of my main request! Now my wife has a Galaxy Note 3, aka a mini-tablet. There's no way this thing is going to hold a Note 3, but let's be honest - right now, very few mounts would. So, you could say the mount meets expectations and desires, exceeds them a little in allowing my phone to always remain in it's Otter Box, but doesn't exceed them enough to support the Note 3.Design:Although it is a plastic design, it feels strong and sturdy. There are two main joints for adjusting the position of the phone. There's an 'elbow' join halfway up the mount with a twist-screw to tighten and loosen, and there's a 'wrist' ball-joint right under the phone holding location. This is great for getting the phone exactly where you want it. Well done!The two left and right arms expand open and lock in that position until your phone is put in place. There is a button on the back panel that your phone will press against. When this happens, the left and right edges retract and clamp around your phone to hold it securely, no matter the size. The two prongs underneath prevent the phone from slipping down, but they are adjustable left and right, allowing you to keep the bottom port(s) of your phone free and available for use no matter where they might be located. My Galaxy S4 has the port in the center, similar to the iPhone, so no much adjusting was needed here for me.Positioning/Mounting:The mount uses a suction cup design, with a locking mechanism to activate the suction. Unfortunately, my dash has a wrinkly fake leather design that prevents the suction cup from grasping. I REALLY wanted it to be positioned on my dash, but I don't think any mount like this would work in this fashion. So I've resorted to the windshield, over on the left hand side of the driver side. The mount secured quite well to my windshield, and the two previously-mentioned adjustable joints made it easy to position the phone exactly where I want it.Once I had mine positioned, I took a day trip and used my voice recognition hands-free mode throughout the trip. The mount held the phone and Otter Box the whole time from my windshield without obscuring my view of the road or falling off. I've been very pleased!Value and Overall Reaction:In full disclosure, I got this car mount at a promotional discounted rate. However, I've been very pleased with it, and do believe it to be worth the full retail price. The strong design, the secure joints and clamps, and the flexible positioning makes this a GREAT buy for most phones! Just realize that if you've got a Note or other "phablet," this is not going to work for you, just like most other mounts out there. I recommend it to friends and family, and be willing to buy from again if there was some sort of freak breakage that occurred - although I don't see the latter happening given what I've experienced thus far.

It did take a few tries to get the suction to take but once I got it on the window it has not fallen off in my very bouncy Jeep. I have never had my phone fall out, it is completely adjustable to any phone size. You just push the side buttons under the little "hands" that hold your phone in place and they open up for you to take your phone out and to put it in there is a button that you put your against and the hands clamp shut. easy peasy! I have spent A LOT of money on contraptions just to have thrown them away disgusted ~ so let me tell you I am thrilled to have finally found the "one"

just received this product and its works good, I never had one before but I always wanted one, I love it, took it for its first ride and it worked, I brought it to my desk so I can play with it and not my phone is looking at me while I work :) LOVE IT!
