Mehron Makeup Professional Bald Cap for Adults, Men, & Women | Costume Bald Cap for Halloween, Cosplay, & Theatre (Latex)

This is the best quality bald cap on the market, but it DOES require you to already have adhesive and makeup to apply it. If you need an all in one kit, Mehron sells a bald cap KIT that comes with the makeup, adhesive, setting powder, etc. (including the instructions on how to use it). I would recommend buying the kit if you don’t already have those things, as you will need them. If you already have spirit gum and latex safe makeup, this is what you want. It is just the bald cap and nothing else. It is slightly more expensive than others on the market, but it’s worth the money if you want it to look natural. If you’ve never used a bald cap before, LOOK UP A VIDEO. Properly putting on a bald cap will probably take you an hour or more, especially your first time. You will have to use adhesive, trim it down to fit your head, and then use makeup to make it match your skin tone. You may also want to buy a few cheaper ones to practice with first, as it most likely will not come out looking perfect your first time applying one. It takes patience and practice. If you are looking for a high quality bald cap for SFX makeup or a cosplay that will take a long time to apply but will look natural in pictures, you will be VERY happy with this. If you’re looking for something for a Halloween costume and want to just be able to throw it on and go, this is NOT the product for you.

Cheap product. Very thin and ripped easily. Fit was too loose. Way high cost for item and you only receive one.

I bought a bald cap from a Halloween/ party store and was so disappointed. For the same price, I found this one and am very glad I did. It’s very thin which made it easier to apply and the material bonded seamlessly with my skin.

It does the job. The sides are hard to stick to your neck though.

These worked well, but beware of the cap's tendency to tear. I bought multiple and tore the first three. They will hold paint or makeup, but it struggles to not show creases and paint cracks. Pretty cheap for a Halloween costume, too.

These were great bald caps. They were very thin and covered well. The instructional video on this site was a LIFESAVER! I highly recommend that you use a hairdryer to speed up the drying of the spirit gum before applying each step of the bald cap. Just an FYI: the bald cap soaks up the Mehron stick makeup SO FAST. I RECOMMEND USING THE MEHRON cream makeup in the tube. It covered much better and didn’t cause the cap to wrinkle.

I would completely overlook all the negative feedback on this product, I can only recommend those who find that it splits and isn’t as desired, to be applying the product incorrectly. These are professional quality and probably one of the better available options for bald SFX.

Sadly only useful for one application but was worth it as the effect is great, very realistic! Care in shaping to the head is necessary but easy to wear with correct latex glue. Would have given it a five star rating but it took along time to arrive.

Waste of money. Took great care, followed all instructions, but it still split pretty much immediately.
