Great ideas, poor execution
I wanted to love this book.I was curious how tea could be used as an ingredient in cooking so I figured this book was worth trying, and unfortunately it left me disappointed. In all the recipes I tried, the tea was either overpowered by all the other ingredients or was barely noticeable.For instance, I made the tea crème brulee and you would only notice the tea when you'd first tasted the custard, but by the time you swallowed it the tea flavor had already dissipated. But for most recipes, the tea never stood out, which isn't surprising given how so many recipes had way too many ingredients.If you know what you're doing in the kitchen, just experiment with recipes you like; if you want to try this book, simplify the recipes and maybe the tea seasoning will be more up front and center.

Absolutely Phenomenal.
The best experience I've ever had with chai was during an intrepid overland journey from Lusaka to Dar Es Salaam. We stopped at a makeshift early morning bush cafe for chicken soup, roti and chai, the only menu items available. I have been searching for YEARS for a chai recipe that comes close to that wonderful experience. This book provided such a recipe. This book is very thorough, and provides excellent descriptions on nuances in choosing authentic products and avoiding branding traps when necessary. The tea egg recipe is as good as any I've had at my favorite Korean and Vietnamese bakeries. I've made several teas and the simple syrup. I love, love love the book. It's colorful, well, organized. Many of the recipes are simple and the authors are good about explaining sources and what to look for. The book alone is beautiful, but paired with it's contents, it's a true wonder. I've learned so much about teas simply making a few recipes from this book.

ok
I got this book because one of it's recipes was used at a restaurant we visited on vacation. That one recipe was great. I haven't been interested enough to try any of the others as they mostly seemed over elaborate and a bit too "gourmet" for me. Even the recipe I liked I just refined to a much simpler and easier version that tasted, actually, better than the first. I did enjoy the ample chapters on the history and uses of teas. The book might be worth it just for that.

Excellent and Novel Cookbook Utilizing Tea
This is an excellent book. Lots of great info regarding tea, nice photos, and fascinating recipes.

interesting and informative
This book provides much information about tea - e.g., the history, geography, steeping methodology and what specific characteristics differentiate one from another - that I didn't know before. The treatment of tea is much like that of wine - what pairs well with what, which characteristics determine how it should be used as both a drink and as an ingredient in a recipe - and I found it to be quite educational and deepened my appreciation of the nuances of a beverage I'm sure many people do not spend a lot of time thinking about.

If you like tea- you will LOVe this bok
I had the pleasure of going to one of their demonstrations/talks and it was wonderful. Both very nice women and answered all m ignorant questions and added to my love of tea. I have tried many of the recipes and have really enjoyed them, I had never tried tea in food andd think it is very clever and adds a nice earthy/natural flavor to many foods. They were very, VERY, knowledgeable and will ccetainly be around for a while.i recommend this book, its very affordable and really gets the brain flooded with ideas.

Another way to enjoy tea
I love tea and I love cooking with tea. The recipe that caught my eye is the marbled egg recipe on the cover. It was the first one I tried from the book. Came out great and was a hit at a neighborhood dinner party. There are many wonderful recipes in this book I look forward to trying. Use the "look inside" feature to get an idea.

Libro meraviglioso! Tante utili informazioni sui tè ma quello che lo rende unico sono le indicazioni sugli abbinamenti tè-cibo e le straordinarie ricette: fa venire voglia du provarle tutte. Interessantissime anche le ricette per preparare sali aromatizzati, salse e cocktail. Molto belle anche le immagini. Non può mancare nella biblioteca di chi ama il tè.
