Perfect fit, easy installation.

I replaced my skimmer with the same one during a liner replacement. Fits well onto the pool. Comes with all the hardware. If something breaks, like a basket, it will be easily replacable.

Work as advertised really helps keep pool clean wayer depth sensitive if water get just a little lower pulls 2 much and sucks air do 2 the flap re.oved flat works better less sensitive 2 water depth

This is a quality skimmer. I only gave it 4 stars though because the holes for the screws were not threaded. My guess is this it to prevent a loose fit and leaks but it really gives your hands a workout and makes it difficult to get every screw in perfectly straight and you don't want to use a nut driver for risk of cracking the plastic. I ended up driving every screw in by hand then backing them out to install it to make putting it back together easier. When I got in the pool, I used a phillips head screwdriver and a socket wrench with the screwdriver head in a socket. It makes it infinitely easier to quickly drive in all those screws and get a good tight fit. I also saw lots of videos of people adding these to round pools with the pools full to right below their cut line. My personal experienced would tell you not to do that with a rectangular pool. Ours was full to about 10 inches below the cut line and as soon as I made the bottom cut, the weight of the water pulled down on the vinyl liner. I got it installed with no leaks but it was a struggle at first that required some prayers. That said, if installing this on a new rectangular pool, I would install this with about a foot of water in the pool to give it enough tension but not too much.

Updated review. Bought my pool from Watsons. This was the skimmer that came with my package when the pool was installed. After a few years it needed replaced. Went to Watsons, gave them the part number but the skimmer was a different brand, they stopped carrying the Hayward brand. The replacement brand was inferior, I could not get it to stop leaking after 3 attempts (draining pool past skimmer each time). Bought this Hayward skimmer and after initial leaks after install, I was able to tighten it and the leaks stopped, unlike the one Watsons sold me. Delivery was actually a day early after being informed it would be late. Highly recommend paying for the Hayward brand.

Genuine Hayward skimmer shipped from the US I think. Arrived 5 days early than what was stated on shipping. Fairly easy install for someone with a steady hand and the right tools. Pre install. It put screw in each hole required with electric screwdriver 3/4 in to cut a thread and make install easier. I also marked each hole with a marker on the liner and melted small hole for each screw with soldering iron which worked really well. Offered up the face plate with all scresw pushed through the liner to mark the liner cutout and carefully cut it with a fresh Stanley blade. Hole needs to measure 306mm x 136mm so the gasket fits nice and doesn’t distort. Skimmer and wide mouth adapter put together before offering up to the hole in the pool. Again used electric screwdriver (not a drill) to fix screws 90% in and tightened by hand multiple times. I chose to add the valve at the bottom of skimmer from my local pool shop so I can isolate/control flow as needed. Final install was easy enough. Corner screws first through face plate and then the rest with electric screwdriver 90% in. Tightened by hand the last 10%. Kept going to each screw to tighten 1/8th a turn until satisfied. Once pool was filled to correct level (halfway). I opened valve on skimmer and closed valve on the other inlet to pump. It immediately started sucking in debris floating on it near the surface. Great product but instructions are minimal so watch the YouTube videos. First. Also comes with an inlet fitting but didn’t use it.

Installed it on my Intex click frame pool, had the old style the hanging over the pool on the frame, and sits in the water, that didn't work very well. I watched alot of YouTube videos with other people installing it on a click frame pool, and I did it, just needed my daughter to hold it on the outside while I screwed it in. Used the cover plate to draw the opening first and a new X-Acto knife , to cut the opening, carefully. Took me a bit to get the filter rubber seal to be straight, had to get creative with hose being connected to my Intex sand pump, I used and extra 1 1/2 pool hose and a rubber plumbing clamp and some silicone around them to attach it. Luck me it didn't leak! Only thing is if your water level gets to high it slows down the filtration of the water coming out. Just keep the water level, half way in the middle of the opening for good water flow. Keeps the top of my pool water cleaner by sucking the debris into the skimmer.
