This tree is nicer than I expected - very full and symmetrical. The weighted base is draped in burgundy fabric and tied with gold cord, as seen in the product photo. I'm very happy with my choice and would recommend this item for gifting or providing additional holiday sparkle... UPDATE - 12/3/18 - Some other reviews noted problems with the lights. It comes with the lights already on, but all the lights were bunched in one side of the tree so I took them off and put on smaller fairy lights. The company is American, however the tree is made in China. It does not come with enough lights (the reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars), so I ordered an additional set of 20 lights, and that is working out very well.
