Been buying filters for the house for 10 years now; used everything from the $0.99 Home Depot junkers to the $12 apiece fancy 3M ones.Been told by more than a handful of AC repair folk that using the high-filtration (1300+) filters from 3M put undue stress on the blower motor trying to pull air through the tighter medium and that going back to a decent/cheap filter and just changing it more often is what they would recommend.When I went back to Lowes/Home Depot to try and find "cheaper" the cheapest filters I was finding (the almost-paper garbage ones) were something like $5 apiece with the average price of the lower end filters being around $6.50.I hopped on Amazon and found these for roughly $2.60 apiece with shipping from Ron's and decided to give them a try.The box just showed up, about 3 days faster than expected and these were exactly what I wanted. Decent build quality, decent filter density and a metal screen on the outbound side to reinforce the filter's integrity during operation.I'm set for the next 2 years for $32, thanks Ron's!

Bought these for my home HVac. Better quality than what you’d buy at your local store for about the same price.

I was happy to find these "old fashion" furnace filters at a reasonable price. I say old fashion as that is what a home depot salesman called them. If you have a high efficiency furnace then it is best to use these as the one's you find in the store can shorten the life of your furnace so I was told by by the HVAC folks. They install easier and the only hassle is you have to change them more frequently but otherwise they work great. I know my furnace runs great now, not stopping and starting as it used to do with even the cheapest 3M filter. Thanks

I needed 20 by 30 by 1 filters. They needed to be cheep fiberglass. I could not find them anywhere. This included the big box stores. As other reviewers have noted the more expensive filters block the air flow and can damage the ac unit. I ordered 12. The came within 2 days. They were in a sturdy box. No damage of any kind. Just what I needed. I recommend them to anyone and will by more next year.

Paper filters from the home store were killing my AC unit. HVAC man said these are the ones to use. He was right, one month later and we've beat the August heat with no problem.
