Super Soft Twill Fabric, Smartphone Pocket in Right Cargo Pocket Review: Not as good as old Cargo pants, but best out there - I do a lot of work outside and had purchased about 20 pairs of the old cargo pants (not made anymore). I probably have 5 pairs left and I've been trying to replace those cargo pants for about year. These pants come the closest to what I need. Not sure why the sizes and colors are so limiting, probably supply and demand, but these pants are well-made, and rugged. The old cargo pants were baggy and these pants are more fitting; however, I have not been able to find anything better. If you find a better pair of pants (closer to the old cargo pants), please post!! Review: they arent for hipters - I brought a tan and a black pair thought they were cut the same as the twill pants ones just in bigger sizes turned out to be almost what a person with long muscular or bigger thighs would want fit well was not tight and very roomy you could take these to work and move around all day. and when you need to make a quick escape just tug at your pants and they will fall off I could do this with ease and im a 44-46 depending on levis craftsmanship.

Close replacement for the old Big and Tall Cargos...but not quite the quality...but will work I guess.
Overall these are much better than I honestly expected after getting stuck with 2 pairs of black ace cargos that were skinny cut or something and hold lint to the point that they're unwearable. I wore one pair once and haven't been able to de-lint them enough to wear them outside in the sun since. The other pair sit there in the packaging still. Which is insane considering how much I paid for them. These however are a different animal. I don't know if they're version 2.0 or what but they're much better. No more skinny cut but still not the old comfy loose fit I preferred of the old cargos. I too wish there were more color options. I've become quite known for my khaki cargo pants as they're all I wear because I require the pockets, and they're just so comfortable. I've had people ask if I own just one pair of pants lol...nope I have 4 of them and a few pairs of jeans but I wear the crap out of the khakis. At this point I could probably be talked out of $100 for a new pair of the old cargos especially if the came in different colors. I'm considering stocking up on these because I'm scared they too will disappear. And at $23 a pair they're hard to beat. They seem to fit a bit loose in the waist but are a bit roomier to me in the crotch area...much appreciated. While the buttons aren't as nice as the metal ones on the old cargos they're better than the noisy rattling metal snaps on the first iteration of the ACE cargos. I'm not sure if I like the "hidden" back pockets vs. the pockets that were sewn on to the outside of the pants but they may be more durable of a design I had a pair rip there. If you're a big guy like me I'd recommend having an extra layer of material sewn onto the outside of the inner thigh as that's where all my old cargos eventually failed due to thigh rub. It took a long time, but they all eventually fail there. So on my last couple pairs I caught on and ironed on a khaki patch plate there and it seems to be doing the job but sewing works much much better. In summary, they're close but not the same but good enough until levis decides to remake the old cargos. Especially for the price. Buy them cheap and stack them deep my friends. Hopefully we'll get some more colors.

bought for cut-off shorts
Shopping for big and tall shorts, any found of good quality started at $28 and up. These pants were temporarily under $20, and the knee pocket is just right for cutting off below. I wore them once as pants, but for Florida they work better as shorts. Go with True SPec mens security belt (nylon) if you need a belt too. Able to color match for under $10, just check the size chart first. Sometimes going up a size or switching colors (never go down) gets a better price.
