Giro Giro Sestriere Snow Helmet

Use for skiing. Feel very protected for safety. Nice looking helmet-ordered the glossy black. I did have to purchase a Turtle skull cap for under the helmet bc wind sheer does blow up the helmet above my eyes. Nice value.

This is the best helmet I've ever had - fit is great and its very protective. Of note is that white looks really great!

UPDATE 2021/02/28: Fits my Bolle goggles well. Used a second week in temps from 12 - 34 F. Works fine. However, I use an extra bicycle helmet liner, which fits loosely and works perfectly, when below 24 or using my super G's which create much wind of on a very windy day. A tight fitting liner would be uncomfortable. Cons: Can't answer the phone easily. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Used for a week of skiing last week at Taos. My head is a 59cm. A thin layer fit perfectly inside for cold weather. At temperatures of about 30F while enduring speeds over 45 felt the cold air coming across my head. But this only happens for short intervals so was fine for me and on this particular day I was only wearing the thinnest of Baclava's for use as a COVID-19 mask on my head but not an extra skull cap for warmth also. A good color for safety as I would never buy white, black, or grey knowing avalanche and snow coverage danger issues.

Great helmet. Used it for three straight days of skiing for its first use and it was very comfortable, lightweight and durable. Conditions were very cold and windy and it kept me warm the whole time.

I took two minor hits to the head during my last snowboarding trip. This helmet assured that I didn't feel even the smallest bit of the impacts. Its designed nicely and looked great out on the slopes! Note: I ordered a size small since that was the best size for me when I tried on Giro helmets at the store. However, since this helmet doesn't have fabric ear covers and instead wraps around your ears, the opening is very tight. It was difficult to put on the first few times, but eventually loosened up a little. At no point did my ears feel hot because there is a vent right there.

I love this helmet. It has a cool retro look and I like the gloss to it. One thing to note. If you are an adult, get the large. I have a small head and I still got the large. I tried medium but it squeezed my head a bit. The large is just a tad big, but I'd rather have a little play in the helmet than have a headache by the end of the day.

I wanted a nice helmet, I didn't want to spend $300. This helmet is fantastic and an amazing value! I pair it with awesome Giro goggles! $60 and $30 respectively! Yikes! Under a $100 for an awesome helmet and goggles!

Is very difficult to find XXL helmets for over-sized domes like mine. This one fits and is way more comfortable than my previous XL. If you have a big head,buy this.

Comfortable

I previously had a Giro helmet for skiing. I damaged it in a ski fall and it did it's job by protecting the side of my head during the fall. Unfortunately the helmet was cracked and had to be replaced. I need an XL helmet and since ordering online wanted to stay with the same manufacturer to somewhat guarantee a similar fit. The Giro helmet fits comfortably and keeps my head warm when skiing. I will stay with this brand for those reasons.

The quality of the helmet is excellent. Sizing was exact. Shipping took alittle longer then expected and needed to pay duties at the post office pickup.

Nice helmet! I already have the same model, but with chin guard for slalom. Bought this one for GS. Love Giro helmets
