Good and works so fast I love this medicine

About twice a year I get coughing and congestion, which I believe may be caused by my allergies. This is the only product I've found that both stops the cough and relieves my mucus congestion to help me sleep. There's nothing worse than being unable to sleep because you're coughing. I try to keep this medication on hand so I can start getting relief when the issue pops up. I haven't experienced any negative side effects.

Bought for somebody else who seemed to be very pleased with the cough syrup.

This is a review of the "New" taste Robitussin DM 8 oz.ASIN B01J4UQ2M6Manufacturer reference: 321478.I have used Robitussin cough expectorant with Guafenessin for years. Loved it. Worked great. Never minded the taste.They got rid of it.They made their expectorant available only with the cough suppressant. I never wanted all the other CF ingredients.I did NOT WANT the cough suppressant but, oh well. Can't stand the taste of others with the pure guafenessin. The 12 oz size was a good value.Then they seem to have gotten rid of the 12 oz size.I have to guess why. Profit? Maybe.Due to the frenzy about high fructose corn syrup being bad for you. Sure. If your consumption is high it can lead to diabetes, obesity, etc etc etc. So can the excessive consumption of ANY sugar. But this is in small amounts - you're not drinking a tubful. So that could be a second reason. Make it more healthy.Third reason? Hate to say it. The potential for abuse of Dextromethophan. Smaller quantities, less dangerous if abused?Maybe.So Pfizer, the manufacturer, got rid of it. Changed the formulation which now has liquid glucose and sucralose.Made it sickeningly sweet, raspberry taste aside.It also STICKS to the dose cup MORE than before. More time wasted rinsing it out.My main gripe?THE DOSE VOLUME HAS DOUBLED.20 cc or milliliters. 2/3 of an ounce.The bottle size is now a measly 237 ml just shy of 8 ounces.That is not even a full 12 doses. Versus the 24 possible with a 10 ml dose.More expensive. $ Cha-ching $So adding this up.Yes it works if you want something sickeningly sweet that sticks to the dose cup, a larger dose volume and fewer doses per bottle.That makes it more expensive if you use it regularly.The kicker is Robitussin says compare to the 10 ml dose. Yeah? How? And that MAX strength of Robitussin.Yuck ptui!Oddly Robitussin refers to the 12 oz size. I cannot find it. They refer you to Amazon. Hmmm.So I'm done with Robitussin.Yes it works. 5 starsIt's too sweet and more sticky.4 starsDoubled dose volume. Less doses per container than before. 3 stars. It becomes more expensive. But given how well it works. A highly qualified four stars.A few caveats from the label.Do not administer to children under 12 years of age.Do not use if using MAO inhibitor medication.Do not exceed 6 doses in 24 hours.
