Excellent design. Will run for decades when properly cleaned. That being said...to address the users who say it quits and they have to replace it...more than likely it has not been cleaned properly. You MUST keep the components clean. Which includes popping the impeller out with a toothpick or some other tool and clean inside the impeller cavity with a qtip or something similar. The GUNK that builds up inside that cavity will stop the impeller from starting and will eventually stop the impeller even while its running. And if you're not running this type of pump in some kind of purified, filtered water...the gunk will build up and it will stop running. Like for example...in pet water....these pumps and the impeller inside must be cleaned every few days. But certainly if it stops pumping....don't throw it away....take it apart and clean it properly and it will likely start right up again.

These replacement pumps fit our porcelain cat flower fountains perfectly. Just make certain you read the model number carefully and get the right ones. There are other pumps that look similar, but aren't the model you need for these particular fountains. I'm happy, kitties are happy. When the water atop the fountain slows to a burble, you need a new pump. Very easy to replace, reliable and whisper quiet.

We are using this pump to circulate water for the kitty’s fountain. I particularly like the ower cord and adapter as they are better quality than most. I had to make an extension tube as the dtbe had to create an vice’s nozzle did not reach the fountain’s bubble tube. Eady to clean. I recommend good brushes to clean it well.

Omg I’m glad I find this replacement for my cat drinking fountain! Very easy to use and very self explanatory, it has a great water flow for the cats or dogs to enjoy.

I would give 0 stars if I could. This is my second replacement and it stopped working after 1 month when I cleaned it. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not buy a water fountain for your pets - these pumps are unreliable!

This pump does work great and does have long life. What customers must do once a month is to remove all parts to pump to clean all buildup of hair, etc . Use a small stiff brush to clean out and than rinse completely until water comes out clean. This is how I extend the life of these pumps. I will buy again when needed
