I'll give it five stars for being a solid contender compared to similar in this price range
Giving it five stars only because other similar cameras in this price range are really not very good. This is not a great camera either, but it's much better than the others simply because it is totally useable. It's enough for me, working quite well. So because there is not a good selection in this price range, I'll give the 3.5 star camera a 5.Of note, the 1200P is a lie. This is a low-rez camera with terrible color and not a great DOF. But for most purposes I don't need great color or great resolution. I just need to see what's lurking behind drywall, and this is working quite well for that.As others have noted, it's important to be aware of the variable brightness adjustable with the physical thumb-dial near the base of the unit. If you're peeking into a completely dark space, you'll need to turn it up in order to illuminate the background.Curiously, the camera and the wifi base seem to be different brands married together. This seems to be why the resolution in the description and on the packaging is a lie. The WiFi base seemingly can toggle between resolutions, but the camera connected to it simply has one low resolution. When I say "low" I mean it's akin SD TV / probably 480p only.Having to connect via Wifi directly to the transmitter, instead of connecting through blue-tooth is super weird, super kludgey, what's that about?

Great picture! Easy to use! Worth the price!
got this so I could find plumbing leaks and see in small spaces, we own an old Victorian home.. so there’s always a leak somewhere . Figured this would be a good investment and so far very pleased with it.,It took me about 15 minutes to figure out how it worked , and I suggest reading the manual and looking at the settings in the app before you need to use it for a repair. It works by connecting to your phones wifi so the signal is dependent on the quality of your phones connection abilities. The video quality is pretty impressive and the cable is rigid enough that I haven't had to use the included support rod. I like that I'm able to record the exploration as it's hard to focus on the screen while feeding the cable into a hole. This is a great addition to my tool box. Worth the price!!

Dont install app on your computer - its fishy
I don't have an android phone so I used this camera on my pc. I had to install a "RAR" reader app and install the "ViewPlayCap" which did not work. After looking on YouTube, I found an extra easy solution: simply plug in the camera to the computer and open the "Camera" app and select the device. The camera worked great. Now I can get my computer to "uninstall" the ViewPlayCap as it doesn't show up in the "Add REmove" program list. I can find it in the system files but even searching within that folder does not bring it up. VERY FISHY

Cool idea, technology is not what it says
Purchased this to use for inspections in HVAC and electrical repair. Yea it sounds like a simple cool idea but the technology is not there and completely unreliable. Takes multiple attempts to get it connect via its independent “wifi” but still requires internet? Once it is connected the video cuts in and out and will never give a constant steady picture. Doesn’t make sense how they use wifi when they could use Bluetooth technology instead and wouldn’t require any other actually reception. Not mobile if you have to use only within a wifi or steady internet connection. Absolute junk! Save your money and invest in an independent scope camera that has its own built in video screen and recording features. They only have a 30 day return on Amazon so make sure once you attempt to try it to keep that in mind once you find it doesn’t work. Seriously don’t waste your time or money and buy this!

What I Found
Things I noticed that may be important.1. The inskam app will require permissions; it gives photos random alphanumeric names (not chronological), and rotates videos 90 degrees counter-clockwise (not just landscape orientation).2. Attachments, especially the mirror, will cause white cloud blurs (back scatter) making seeing anything nearly impossible and you may need the mirror (see photo).3. High depth of focus (can even recognize houses in the distance on a sunny day albeit blurry). Needs bright light, but it's built in LED's only illuminate up to about 1 foot or 25cm. Resolution seems low regardless of setting.4. Hard to maintain directional orientation (up, down, left, right) and you have limited ability to maneuver this. It's too stiff, but it's also not stiff enough, to get to many places. Probably best with straight pipes, limited curves and small easy to access openings. Inside walls, it needs larger openings and/or auxiliary lighting. I never used more than a meter or two of the wire as I couldn't get far.5. I couldn't use the protective ring attachment due to some light back scatter across the lens (but not as bad as the mirror).6. Hints: Hold down power button for 3 seconds to turn on or off. That button is helpful as a shutter for still shots too. Remember to set your wi-fi to the app and ignore any "internet" warnings. It will last about 1 hour on a full charge depending on your use.In summary, it's analogous to a camera drone at it's price point with similar limitations. Could be useful for your application, or not.

Excellent customer service
I purchased my endoscope over a year ago and finally the battery died and would not re-charge. Contacted the seller inquiring to purchase only the battery. within 48 hours I received a response asking for my physical address.6 Days later (today) I received a brand new endoscope, battery and all attachments FREE of any charge. Now, if that is not customer service than I do not know what is. Thank you, I expected to pay for a new battery. As far as the camera is concerned it does a good enough job for my needs. Yes, a $300 professional endoscope would be far better, but then it's not what I wanted or need
