Red Cast Iron Standing Fire Hydrant Ashtray 7" Tall for Cigarette Butts

I said I was done reviewing products here until I can be candid but I have to make an exception here. This is an exceptional product. I read in the Q&A section that it had been re-engineered so I decided to take a chance on it.It is a heavy cast iron, nothing could burn in here for long. Mine is outside in the rain and finally I have an ashtray that doesn't fill with water, and I can tell you I tried MANY options for an outdoor ashtray. It's kinda cool the way that you don't even realize it's an ashtray until you flip the lid over where you can rest a cigarette if desired. I can't attest to the durability of the paint because I felt this was well enough made that it was worth the trouble to coat it with 3 coats of polyurethane when I received it so mine should look good for a while.Update: It's now been outside 24/7 for 5 months. It has no rust and the paint is holding up. I still love this thing. Best outdoor ashtray ever!Update: Now it's been outside for 3 yearsk with no rust anywhere! The paint is slightly chipped near the rim but it's taken a few knocks in that spot. It still looks pretty good, this thing is worth every penny I spent. I might actually take the time to repaint this thing someday because this is going to last for years and years lol

Bought this because I was tired of cigarette butts littering my yard. It has a heavy base so it’s pretty sturdy. It can hold a lot before it needs to be emptied out into trash.

I ordered two of these for outside, and they've worked out pretty good. They're a great height for the side tables next to our glider. The only reason for giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is the top isn't very large for holding a cigarette. I like being able to spin the top to get rid of the ashes, etc., along with the fact that it's not necessary to empty and clean it that often.

I think this fire hydrant ash tray is great! It is not an eyesore like a standard ashtray and its clever design allows smokers to use just the inverted cap or the base to extinguish cigarettes or cigars. I use it outdoors and since it is made of cast iron it is sturdy and does not blow over on windy days...and it is "cute".

While this looks nice and is a good size it is hard to use and now it's just decoration

Cute little ashtray for outside our door. Too small for heavy use, but works well for stray butts littering our doorway. You can put the cigarette out on top, then push down on top to open so butt drops in. Takes two hands and not quick, but definitely cuter than an open ashtray. Sturdy. Arrived quickly.

It's nice it comes in handy it's pretty sturdy are already comes assembled all you got to do is put on the LED it's a little bit on the heavy side like a brick and it's not that big it's more so happening on top of a table so you don't have a cigarette butts it doesn't hold very much of anything which I didn't think you would because it was only $19.99 but I wouldn't say don't get it I would say save your money and get something much just something that is a little bit bigger than this one because For What It's Worth it's a good product it's just not something you want to keep going with it for long-haul because it doesn't isn't that much of a product should I say but it's nice I wouldn't recommend putting it anywhere that it will fall because it'll break in a matter of seconds because it is ceramic so don't drop it

I am not a visual spatial person so I thought it was gonna be bigger. It does work well, heavy cast iron so it is sturdy.
