I've not had a lot of experience with this type of product, but it turns your breakfast eggs up a notch. Lovely, also with pasta. Could be an acquired taste, but then you only need to use a little to add a delicate umami flavour. It's a staple in the fridge now, and the last one I bought lasted at least 6 months no problem. Just keep it in a sealed pack so it doesn't dry out further. I think after about 6 months there was slight discoloration on the outside skin, but after taking this off the last bit of it, it was good for another couple of months.

Never tried this before - very glad I bought it. Beautiful rich flavour, easy to cut into thin slices and delicious.

Handy to have in the he store cupboard.

A very good bottarga at a very reasonable price.
