The release of the complete Voyager record we should've had at least twenty-five years ago--and it's well worth the wait.
The set consists of a record-album-sized, 96 page book giving a capsule summary of the mission, the record's creation, and the contents of the records themselves: texts of all the spoken greetings, a listing of all the music, and the photographs included with the recordings. (Those wanting the in-depth account of the creation of the package and the two Voyager spacecraft and their missions are directed to Sagan, et al's magnificent Murmurs of Earth: the Voyager Interstellar Record, which can be found in several formats and editions here on Amazon). The final part of the package is a pair of CDs with the audio tracks of the messages from Earth as well as the 31 tracks of music that complete the interstellar 'message in a bottle'. Was given to me as a gift
This is one of my most treasured artifacts. It represents a time in history and an audible history of life on earth. I am not sure I would have 150 for this if it hadnt been gifted to me. Just due to the nature of the the contents on the vinyls be unplayable in many circumstances. It is a beautiful piece of art though. It is also a gold mine of sample stems. I highly recommend this vinyl for any sampling nerds out there (of which I am also).

I could go on and on about this lovingly assembled and beautifully made box set...but I don't have to. Everything you would ever want to know, from how Ozma Records gained access to the original source tapes to photos of the finished sets getting shipped, is on the project's Kickstarter page. Barely a scratch of music
31 pieces of music? What about all the rest? I counted many more listed online, and one website mentioned 130.... this music representing time periods and cultures all over the world.... why dumb is down more with so few....

Bought this for my partner who loves all space related things and he loved it. :) Everything came as described and arrived well packaged. The attention to detail in each item was pretty impressive and seemed well worth the price.

A great Voyager collectible
In the vinyl edition of this set, it should be pointed out that the "PIN" image in the advertising images above is not a piece of jewellery, but a download card with a pin (personal identification number), for downloading the set off the internet.However, that being said, this for me is the ultimate Voyager collectible, and is a must for every space exploration fan. Especially the vinyl edition.
