Use this plastic one instead of the brass one. The Brass reacts with common aluminum hose fittings and welds itself in place.

This is our second pressure regulator and we are very pleased with its performance. The only thing I would warn people about is to make sure they don't lose the inside components of the piece as it will make it inoperable. We had to replace our old one when the inside fell out and was lost but it did last us a whole year before needing to be replaced. You do want to make sure to have one of these because the water pressure can be crazy in some parks and you want to protect your RV.

I finally used the camper last weekend and it seems from the inside, that this pressure regulator works, BUT- When I went outside to make sure the connection was tight, I discovered a pinhole size stream of water squirting out of the side of the regulator. I don't know if this is normal or not, and I was running off of well water so the amount of waste didn't matter, but.... It's not worth returning and as I said, It DOES reduce the amount of splash inside, so you decide!

I bought this to use on my garden bibs/faucets as the pressure out there is too high and our hoses kept splitting. I bought 3 of these and all three are still working GREAT a year later... and they are doing a good job regulating the pressure... you forget they are there as there is really no change to the water except the excess pressure is gone...but there's no lag or constriction in flow. Highly recommended!!

My marina has 95 PSI water pressure (I measured) and continuously blows mine (and everyone's) water hoses if left on. I bought this and measured the "new" water pressure and it is now 50 PSI which is great. One draw back is now my water pressure is at a normal level and I have the lost the "pressure washer" effect at the nozzle of my hose, but at least my hose will last more than a week. Also, this is made of plastic and will break if you yank on it!!! I have my hose secured so this does not happen to me.

It’s a good little piece of equipment if you are worried about water pressure, but don’t be too rough with it’s still plastic. Inside it’s just a spring and a valve so it should last for years with proper use

Beside him definitely increases the pressure on my holes work as everyday

In winter when stored, the plastic broke, I will never buy another plastic unit again.
