It would not be truthful to say that our Pitbull loves this shampoo but, then again, she doesn't like any baths or shampoo. That being said, she did tolerate us using this shampoo which probably means that another dog might be quite pleased with it. Besides its economy size, this shampoo has a lot to commend it. It feels smooth and almost creamy going on and our dog does seem to itch less in the dry winter weather when using this shampoo. I have noticed fewer red patches and scratch marks and overall I don't see her scratching as much. This seems to soothe her skin as well as clean her fur so it works as described.

This is such a luxury, premium shampoo that has the best lather in the oiliest of our hound coats and the scent is beautiful and lasting. Leaves them clean and coats soft. This is an excellent way to buy dog shampoos for larger breeds. Very economical. Came shipped with no leakage problems whatsoever.

My lab periodically has bouts of sensitive, itchy skin. I give her Benadryl (dog dosage) to help with the itching and give her baths with Petology's oatmeal honey shampoo.
