Controlled servos exactly as specified
Used this to work servo motors on a 3d printed project. It worked quite well, so I have no complaints.

Nice Features Board - as Stated
This board NEEDS the sample file loaded so that all its drivers get setup and configured as need. I was new to driving servos with a 'hat' board - but once you understand its operation, it works flawlessly.

Bought for future project but seems to be of good quality and broad size range.
Arrived quick. Untested due to project delay or cancellation. Can't speak to its function but other reviews make this seem to be the best choice.

Look up PCA9685 for documentation
A good, flexible board useful for powering 9g servos right out of the box. However if you want to control more powerful servos I'd highly recommend a servo break-out board to prevent any voltage spikes from ruining your hardware. Supposedly can connect up to something like 64 boards to a single controller, but board addresses (configured by some small soldering on the board) are only explicitly documented up to 4 boards. Speaking of documentation, this uses the PCA9685 chip, so any libraries for that will work.

it's cheap and it works with a pi
it wont fit under any retail/included rpi case, so you'll have to cut it in. it worked reliably, snapped right onto the gpio bus and passed all pins. i used it to drive that 2 servo motor tripod im sure you've seen on amazon. Worked fine for me. You'll need to install the adafuit pwm stuff.

Easy to use - Works!
Took couple minutes to install and works great - have made a robot hand already! cost is so low! thank you for making affordable hats.

VIN terminal does not work
I tried to use this servo-hat to control 12 servos using RPi. This hat gave me lot of problems. Later, I found out the VIN terminal does not work and my Pi was messed up since all the servos were taking power from RPi.

Be careful, the output of the 5V regulator is connected to the Pi 5V line
This is a nice little board. My biggest concern is per the schematic and per my multimeter the output of the buck regulator is connected to pins 2 and 4 on the Pi header. This is bad as either the USB 5V will overdrive the 5V regulator or the 5V regulator will attempt to power the Pi. As a professional electrical engineer, this is a bad design. Generally you want a diode to only accept the highest voltage regulator. So I would be very concerned about this board damaging your Pi or vice versa. It isn't shown on the schematic, but there is a zero ohm resistor that should be removed to prevent back feeding.

Nice pwm
Work nice. Had a project requiring servos and it really did the job. I have a raspberry pi 4 and it was the simplest and best upgrade I made (depending on your projects requirements)

Mal producto
