These are a super fine pair of covered toe sandals. Due to an injury, I need shock-free soles, a well padded shoe + arch support. Due to some healing toe nails, I wanted to hide those puppies this summer.I looked through all of Amazon's, Zappo's and top sporting stores such as Paragon Sports. All roads led to the Mephisto Women's NIRO Mary Jane Flats. Some Amazon points made the 178 USD purchase easier, and when they arrived, these Niro shoes slipped on easily.Between the arch support and the cushy sole, they feel great.MEPHISTO - why don't you make the LEATHER FISHERMAN SANDALS for WOMEN ??

I like the open feel of the shoe along with the good support it gives my arch.

The upside to these is that they fit fairly well--if you make sure you go by the measurement of your foot versus what size you normally wear. They are comfortable enough that my feet and legs aren't sore after walking 2 miles. I don't know if they would be if I walked farther. My biggest complaint is that there is Zero arch support. Inserts are definitely needed to correct that. Sadly, not the perfect shoe.

would never buy again for the money total waste, unfortunately rules are so strict about return I have to keep, runs big, my feet hurt more after wearing these than cheap shoes.
