Perfect case!
I love this cover — fits perfectly, and still looks new after a few years! My only complaint is that it now has a little chip and I’d like to replace it, but Amazon is on to the newest model and no longer stocking this case in any color… it’s not as if I would replace a perfectly functional kindle each time a new model comes out!

BEST VALUE LEATHER COVER FOR PAPERWHITE (10TH GEN)
When I bought my pre-owned Kindle Paperwhite (10th Gen), I also ordered an equally pre-owned Amazon genuine leather cover for it. Buying pre-owned does not diminish the quality of this cover and instead saves one a lot in terms of acquisition cost. It has been my frame of mind that all other third-party covers for the Paperwhite are just inferior in terms of features and durability, hence, I always make sure that I purchase this Amazon genuine leather cover. It is simply the best in features—genuine leather, firm structure, strong enclosure, very lightweight, classic simple design, magnetic closure, and auto sleep-wake function. It fits like a glove to the Paperwhite and its leather feels so nice to the touch. Once the Paperwhite is fitted into it, there is no more taking it out as there is no need to and it appears to be already integrated into the e-reader as an indispensable part of it. When you open the cover, the Paperwhite wakes up and you are prompted to swipe to unlock the Kindle. Conversely, when you close the cover, the Kindle returns to sleep and saves on battery and the magnet holds it in place to keep it closed. Upon flipping back the front cover you will likewise notice that the magnet catches it so it will firmly stick and won’t be swinging freely. The velvet part inside the cover would protect the display from getting scratched or damaged. When accidentally dropped, the cover amply protects the Kindle inside it. Just like all other previous Amazon leather covers, my expectations on its features and durability are met by this one. I highly recommend this to protect your Paperwhite in its lifetime.

I read my Kindle every day and often into the night. The leather cover keeps my Kindle safe. Excellent product.

Luddite still Learning
I like the light weight and the ability to read in the dark. (my old Kindle required a lamp which made reading in bed very cumbersome.) I expect the screen to be much easier on my eyes than my phone and laptop. What I DON't like is1) the advertising. We are bombarded with advertising from every direction, but it feels like extortion to have to pay tokeep it off my e-reader. I don't know if that is an upgrade I can buy or if I'm stuck now because I overestimated mytolerance for the niggling interruptions to my pursuit of enlightenment.I'm retired but not quite a woman of leisure, so I haven't tried to do anything but download a book and navigate my way through it by trial and error. ...which brings me to another complaint.2) when I want to learn something about my kindle I don't know how to access a user's manual because all I can find are books to BUY. Surely there's an actual manual of some sort that's included with the price of purchase. I'm just not seeing it.

really hight quality cover
its awesome that it works to turn on and off the Kindle automatically, it feels sturdy very well built. I purchased years ago and it does not show wear and tear. Only downside would be that its probably heavier than the kindle itself.

I love this case!
I thought I wouldn't care much for this cover. I bought it because a cheap one I bought years ago has cracked so much that I was afraid my Kindle would be damaged. I wondered why a person would pay so much for a cover. I didn't; instead I bought mine from Amazon Warehouse. Sure, it may be a gamble, but with Amazon's return policy, I'd only lose time. I wasn't able to get my preferred color for the lowest price, but really, who cares? The feel of the cover was unexpected. I think I formulated in my mind that it would feel like a leather purse. However, I buy handmade purses which aren't genuine leather so my expectations were high. It isn't soft like I expected (maybe my expectations were completely off). I also like how it's magnetized so that it will remain open when I am reading. Either way, after using it a few weeks, I really like it. When/if I need another Kindle, I'll definitely go with the Amazon-branded leather cover.

Wonderful device.
This was an upgrade from an old 3rd generation keyboard kindle. While it may not compare well with the newest versions, I’ve had absolutely no issues or complaints. I only use it for reading so can’t say anything about audio books. The screen is about the same size as my old Kindle, while overall it is smaller and lighter. Resolution is more than adequate. The lighting works great. Battery life was fine, getting me through a 2 week trip with a bit of reading every day, and only occasionally using the back light.Only complaint is that there’s no easy way to download your library. My old Kindle was actually my second one. When I got that one, you could transfer everything over and it was like nothing changed, all your books, collections etc., were there exactly the same. . I don’t understand why that’s not an option anymore. Having to sit there and manually select and download books is cumbersome and ridiculous.

Very disappointed that my Kindle will not work with my Orbic internet hotspot
I love Kindle and was so excited to get my new Paperwhite Kindle. The problems started when I tried to register it. I could not connect to the internet. I did everything possible to connect to the internet. A total of 3 1/2 hours on the phone with Verizon and Amazon tech support to finally find out that is not compatible with Orbic devices. Tech support was wonderful and very helpful and my Kindle is being returned. I wish engendering had researched connections that customers could be using. This is $185.00 sale that Amazon has lost. I know that is not a lot of money but added to lost customer good will and belief in your product it is a substantial loss. I am a long time customer who is very disappointed.I am going to post this where it hould be on the Kindle but I will leave it here as I have to return the cover
