Sultry, sweet, and warming. Numi's Rooibos Chai infuses mellow South African rooibos with cinnamon, cloves, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, and cardamom for a caffeine-free chai that's cozy hot in winter and refreshing iced in warmer months. We've sourced this rooibos from the same small-scale organic farm in South Africa's Cederberg region since 1999. Numi's Together for H2OPE initiative brought running water to workers' houses at this farm for the first time, and the farm integrates patches of wild landscape into its cultivated fields to protect local biodiversity. This blend is crafted with 100 percent real, non-GMO organic herbs and spices, no added flavorings or artificial fragrances. Every tea bag is made from manila hemp (Abacá) fiber, sealed with a crimp-and-knot process instead of the plastic heat-seals used in most tea bags, so no polypropylene ever touches your cup. The bags are BPI Certified Biodegradable and supplier-verified free of added plastics or microplastics — not just labeled that way. The outer wrapper is plant-based and commercially compostable, made from FSC-certified paper and non-GMO sugarcane. Certified USDA Organic and Fair Labor Verified. Review: Very lovely tea that has become a favorite! - It's a wonderful, smooth, spiced chai. Smells amazing, tastes amazing. I love that it's not caffeinated either; most chai is made with black tea (which has caffeine), but this is made with rooibos (making it an herbal/no caffeine tea). It's quickly become one of my favorite teas. It's flavorful and spiced without being too strong or heavy. It's definitely it's own unique, and quite good, tea, but if I had to say a tea it was closest to I think it could be like a cousin of a Bengal tea. If you haven't tried rooibos before, don't worry about it being too strong. This tea has all the spice and flavor of a regular chai and the rooibos sits nicely in the background. I can't really say what exactly the rooibos tastes like, it blends so well with the spices that it's hard to distinguish on it's own, but I'm sure it does have a flavor that's being contributed to the overall taste of the tea. The tea is earthy (in a good, mellow way, like a ginger earthy. Not like potato skin or dirt got in your mouth earthy), spiced, and smooth. It's not spicy, but spiced in a flavorful and fulfilling way. It's a great comfort tea that provides a warming spice with a calming, aromatic depth. I would definitely recommend it. It's a great tea to have around, caffeine free too, and works well for any occasion. I've gone through two boxes from the store and when I couldn't find it at my local store anymore I got my third box from here. I had a friend try it that normally isn't that big on teas and chai, and they liked this, so I think it would be a fairly palatable tea for most people. It's like the chicken soup of teas to me; very likeable and flavorful in a calm but deep/complex way.

It's a wonderful, smooth, spiced chai. Smells amazing, tastes amazing.
