The plot thickens!
Such a wonderful followup to the the cliffhanger that ended *Best Friends Forever*! As usual, Rainbow Rowell's nuanced and witty dialogue provides the perfect voices for the Runaways cast of characters, brought to life by the beautifully expressive art styles of Kris Anka and David Lafuente (with gorgeous color by Matt Wilson). This omnibus features one of my favorite things the series has done to date - "An Interlude with Dinosaur" - in which we get an Old Lace POV on life after Alex returns! Not to mention a Christmas chapter so wholly dysfunctional and heartwarming, it could only be penned by Rowell. Highly recommend it!

Great read
I really liked this graphic novel. Great storyline and many diverse characters. My 9 year old daughter was really into it and read it in a couple of hours.

The Past Bites Back
As much as the prior volume in this series was about reclaiming the good parts of the past, this volume is a reminder that rose-tinted glasses help you ignore the blood. With the Return of Alex Wilder being used for proper dramatic effect, the introduction of the Children of the Gibborim, and new revelations about the Staff of One, the biggest and most frightening aspects of their past appear to come home to roost. It's overall a very dark chapter in the lives of these characters, but one that is enthralling and engaging. The characters continue to be the focus over events, and that works to the series' benefit. There could literally be an entire issue of two characters going out for pancakes and it's still an enthralling, enticing, and intense chapter. And there is. And it is.There is also a silent side story told from the perspective of the dinosaur Old Lace, which is something I have been waiting for ages to see.If there is one quibble I have, it's one of future worry. The revelations of the Staff of One set up an interesting premise, but I fear if/when Rainbow Rowell leaves the title, some other writer will use it to turn Nico Minoru into a bland villainess or depower her. Or both. There are also some minor continuity glitches, but the story being told is worth that price and it continues to earn its five-star rating from me!

Another terrific piece of the story
As always, I continue to love Rowell's attention to detail in the storytelling (I am unreasonably attached to all of the characters), and absolutely adore the illustrations. Can't wait to read the next one!

The runaways are back and ready for new adventures
I love this comic, Rainbow Rowell is such a perfect writer for this series. And Kris Anka's art and colours is my favourite thing about the new Runaways. He gives those characters so much life and individuality. I cannot recommend strongly enough!!

One of the top 3 current Marvel books! The Runaways are back in action!
Amazing volume of the current Runaway series! For anyone wishing this comic had more action, well, you're in luck because this volume had it in spades.First things first, the art. There are two issues (one and a half, technically) drawn by David Lafuente, who is an amazing artist, his style is quite different from Kris Anka's and that might throw you off a bit but my advise is give it a couple of readings to warm up to his art, it's more cartoony but equally as dynamic and expressive, his colorist, Jim Campbell brings out emotions and mood and pacing remarkably well. There's also super heart warming short story of Old Lace drawn by an old time friend, Takeshi Miyasawa! He was always a terrific artist and his art has evolved so well since his Runaways days years ago, and he finally gets to draw a kiss between Karolina and Nico (he drew the issue where Nico rejects Karolina in 2005) Michael Garland does a great job coloring this story.Of course, Kris Anka and Matt Wilson do a superb job on the rest of the issues, their action scenes are suspenseful, dynamic, sometimes even eerie, you're gonna love them. This arc was the last these two worked on the title and the said goodbye with a bang. Finally, Rainbow's writing keeps being the master class for character oriented stories, no character is left undeveloped, not a single interaction is meaningless, every word is carefully planned to give you the sensation that you're learning more about the character and at the same time leaves you wanting to know more. As a little addition, one of the most tense issues of any comic I read in quite a while is Runaways 15, curiously enough, is only a conversation, but the tension builds and builds through the issue, in the final page, for a moment, you feel like the worst is over, but the very last panel is a stark reminder that no one is really safe.Seriously, pick this book up, it's by far one of the top 5 Marvel books today (my personal #1)

Espetacular
Parece que estou lendo a série original do Brian K Vaughan e Adrian Alphona. Leve, ágil, personagens incríveis, situações impossíveis. Mal posso esperar pela próxima edição.
