Outstanding results!
I have been buying these sticky strips for 4 years now. Before Amazon had them I got them from Gardener's Supply, then directly from the manufacturer - Olson Products in Medina, Ohio. They are incredible. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.I use them in my vegetable/herb garden in Arizona in the spring and again in the fall. They attract white flies and other flying pests quickly. I have had excellent crops with the use of these strips.I use the strips along with the 12 Inch Long Wire Holders which I also HIGHLY recommend.NOTE: to remove the stickiness from your fingers after separating the strips from one another - use vegetable or olive oil and then wash your hands. As for the manufacturer - Olson Products - these are first rate folks - especially "Elaine".Thanks, Olson Products - for putting out such tremendous merchandise. An updated TIP TO REMOVE STICKY RESIDUE ON YOUR FINGERS FROM USING THESE YELLOW STRIPS -DE-SOLV-IT is a wonderful product that is environmentally friendly and it removes the stickiness from your fingers instantly!I plug my sink - spray a little bit of DE-SOLV-IT in the basin - soak my fingers for 10 seconds and the stickiness is GONE!AMAZON sells it and it's ONE GREAT PRODUCT made here in Chandler, AZ.De-Solv-It Remover, 33 ozby Orange Sol De-Solv-It Remover, 33 oz

It Just Works
These little sticky cards are great for fungus gnats on my germination trays. The little suckers don't have a chance once they contact the strips and (for whatever reason I don't understand) they seem attracted to them. I received these from the shipper as promised and used their "holder" (not provided in this case order, but bought separately) to set just above the "flight-line" of the little buggers, which is just above the upper most growth. As I was just beginning to see signs of germination, this was done early on. Because of this, I have very few gnats and the ones I do have are pretty much stuck to the traps. These cards are REALLY sticky, and it took one sticking to me to discover that one end has a small area where there is no "glue". This can be seen if you hold it in the light and examine the reflection off the glue. I then noticed that they are all packed in the box in one direction, but the box isn't labeled "up", so I wrote that on the flap for next time.Great, and effective, product. Buy it!

Smaller Sheets But Effective Around Fruit Trees And Veggies
Olson's Sticky Traps were fantastic to use around our fruit trees and vegetables. We found them to be low maintenance and quite effective. This year, we needed to get some more and were happy to find "Olson Products Inc. The Original Sticky Strip 3"x 5" Yellow (100pack)" on Amazon! There are some noticeable differences between the older sheets and these newer ones. Previously the adhesive was found throughout the sheet except for a thin 0.5x3" strip on one end. These newer sheets lack the adhesive on both ends of each sheet, along the shorter side on the front and the back. While it makes the sheets easier to handle, it also means there is less usable/exposed surface area to catch flying insects. Secondly, the adhesive on the newer sheets were not applied as smoothly as before. Many of the sheets were not usable because the glue overlapped in waves on the sheet while others had gaps/spaces in between the adhesive.Application is relatively easy. Both the back and front of the sheets have adhesive on it. If by chance, you get the adhesive on your fingers, the manufacturer recommends using vegetable oil to remove it. We have never had an issue with getting the adhesive on our fingers, but that is good to know. Simply remove the white paper and hold the sheets by the clear strips/ends on either side. Olson's sticky traps also hold up well in the rain and under the strong sun which is a plus. Overall, still a good product for fruit flies, white flies, gnats and other smaller flying insects. House flies may not be as easily lured by these yellow sticky traps though.

Sticky Yellow Traps for Gnats
Purchased this to use in my greenhouse for an infestation of fungus gnats. I place them around between two pots (holds them upright) or at the edge of the soil/pot. They are sticky so watch out. It does help with reducing the population of adult gnats as they fly and are attracted by the yellow. Once placed around, there are more gnats caught each day. If you let them get out of hand, you have a real problem. I also drench the soil with hydrogen peroxide to eliminate the eggs and larvae. Everything seems to work together - but, slowly so be patient.

works great
We had a real problem with white fly in my many houseplants, sprays just weren't doing the trick. With these I have caught probably hundreds of flys and hardly see them anymore. They don't come with stakes, but I just grabbed a handful of wooden coffee stirrers from the local Starbucks and stuck 'em on those. The trick is to peel back one side of the paper cover part way, stick the stick to it, and leave the paper on until you have it put in the plant securely, then peel off both sides. For real leafy plants I left the paper on the side facing the plant so the leaves wouldn't get stuck to it. I don't have to worry about using poisonous sprays around my pets.

Sticky paper didn't catch our gnats.
I don't know what the other reviewers were writing about, but these things don't even begin to catch gnats. We've got these indoor geraniums that were brought in from the outside for the winter that also have these annoying gnats. Based on the other Amazon reviews we thought these sticky paper things would reduce the problem. They don't. The little gnats apparently like water so many of them congregate around sinks and bathtubs but not on these sticky notes.Maybe our gnats are too smart for these things.Waste of money.Update 1-15-2014:Although the product wasn't good for us, the company was very good in giving us a refund with no problems.
