Great knife! I use this thing almost daily and it holds up well. Nice weight, good edge, and it feels substantial enough to go through larger vegetables.

I’ve recently wanted to add a Chinese/Japanese style chefs knife to my collection. I did some research and came across this brand. The fit and finish on this cleaver is fantastic. No sharp edges or misaligned pins in the handle. The edge, grind and overall condition of the blade is on par with significantly more expensive knives. I’ve used this for a few different meals and I can genuinely say, it’s one of the more versatile designs that I have. Most of the time, I can stick to just this knife for the entirety of what I’m preparing. I can prep and cut food very quickly and the knife generally feels like it will last a long time if taken care of. My only critiques, are this. There’s a strange discoloration where the blade meets the bolster of the blade. Not sure if that’s from the grind during the production process, or if the blade and handle are two separate pieces of steel. Lastly, the website lists it as Japanese steel. However, the marking on the knife doesn’t match the renderings and only states “premium high carbon”. Overall, for the price and what you get with the knife. Can’t beat it for the price. Great addition to any home kitchen.

SHARP is the word of the day. This think shaved my bamboo cutting board!! Super excited for what this will do for my cooking experience, who wants to stand around, straining themselves or slowing themselves down because the have the wrong tool for the job? Do yourself a favor and get one of this. I couldn't be happier with how it's performed and I'm only irritated with myself for not buying one sooner!

This was a pleasant surprise - its a rather high quality tool. Not as nice as my native Japanese set, but they were 10x as much, so it's expected. But this is sharp and really quite heavy - in fact heavier than I would like, but most cleavers are light, thin and weak. I really recommend this item. I've only hand washed it so far so I can't tell you how it stands up in the dish washer.

Kitchen cutting is now much easier. Washes up well. Nice case to protect it and me.

This is an attractive, nicely balanced, and very practical addition to your kitchen. You will love it.

Good knife. Used for 8 months and don’t even need to sharpen it once

This knife exceeded my expectations, which were very high to begin with. Visually, this knife is beautifully crafted, and a significant addition to my kitchen! Functionally, this knife performs incredibly well. It maintains a sharp edge over extended periods of use. I am so impressed with this knife that I purchased one as a gift for my friend. He claims this knife is the star of his kitchen and will be treasured forever! This knife is an incredible value at the price I paid for it on Amazon prime!

Great equipment, worth the money

I bought this cleaver with the aim of using it for most kitchen prep - it’s delivered wonderfully and I now use it for cutting all but the smallest items (more a reflection of my limited knife skills). I keep it out of reach of children and am super cautious when using it myself, but this Japanese blade is beautifully made, balanced, boxed and a joy to use.
