Good Coffee Table Book
I like this book. The book is large and the paper is thick and smooth. There are beautiful pictures throughout. I gave this as a gift.

Too stimulating to read before bed!
I was just passing by...no reviews for this yet? Then I must comment! I did read this before bed and then tossed around, excited to revisit antique stores, thrift shops and salvage spots for interesting planters and other garden art. I mentally redesigned my spaces. I've named my (small)property "The Ragged Garden". It's a certified wildlife habitat with a potting shed, kit greenhouse, raised beds for vegetables. I don't want to add enough junk to be tacky, but love seeing photos of arty, shabby chic? informal gardens. Books with gorgeous photos of formal gardens and closeups of blossoms are not for me. I immediately ordered Coulthard's book, Shed Chic. She's my kind of gardener.

Beautiful pictures and helpful ideas
Beautiful pictures and helpful ideas. It is not a how-to book, but a lovely book. It's about using things in the garden that you might not think of. Very British in concept.

Dissappointed that I paid $30 for this book
I bought this book based on the other reviews. I started looking through the book and within the first couple of minutes, I knew I had thrown my money away. There is nothing spectacular about the book. Every thing you see in the book is things that you have already seen in magazines. I was looking for inspiration and found none. Many of the pictures are from large estates. I went through the whole book hoping at least I would find a couple of things, but did not. Now what do I do with the book? Donate it to the library? And forgive myself for being quick to buy based on a few reviews and wasting $30!
