What you see is what you get. But what made this kick plate a worthwhile purchase was the way it arrived.It was packed inside insulated cardboard with a cardboard backing, and a piece of masonite cut to secure the brass and keep it from bending in transit. The face also has a layer of protective plastic laid down for a last protection against a blemish. It arrived in perfect condition. It took about two minutes to install after measuring and marking the screw holes. We refinished our front door, and added new hardware. the kick plate adds the last finishing touch. A really worthwhile purchase.

I have a steel door, so was willing to pay extra to get a magnetic mount kick plate so I would not need to damage my door. The magnetic backing was very cheap and thin--note the bubbles on the magnet layer in the photo, which is how it came. When I tried to adhere it to my steel door, the magnet was so weak that it would not stay on. I have used other magnets on this door it the past (wreath holders, etc.) and never had a problem. At $58, unacceptable quality. Other magnetic mount reviews were five stars, so maybe it is only the Satin Nickel Aluminum kick plate that is defective.

The kick plate was described as oil rubbed bronze. It was actually just brown paint on steel. Perfectly good if you’re looking for brown paint, a disappointment if you’re expecting oil rubbed bronze to match similar fixtures already installed

This kickplate was well-protected in its shipping sleeve, but it arrived with numerous scratches that were there before shipping. Advertised as bronze, powder-coated. It is actually a silver color with bronze-like edges, only evident online if you enlarge the picture (which I did after receiving). I was disappointed, b/c it is a difficult size/color and I am hesitant to try this company again.

Wow, for such a pricey item, I am really disappointed. The kick plate is magnetic and it will hold to the door, but not that hard to remove so make sure your not in a bad area... easy to steal! Finish is nice and metal is thick. HOWEVER, the quality control and packaging are zero! The corners are bent and not something you can fix. This was not from shipping, Amazon is shipping them well packed. This is happening before shipping.Secondly, the magnetic backing is not put on with any care. Rushed and full of bubbles. You can see someone else left a review just like this with pictures, so I won't post anymore. You paying a premium for this and they just slap it on without care.I had to order THREE and only one was acceptable (but not perfect). Amazon won't let me get a replacement again, so i'll try to get one more matching set from wayfair or something with a good return policy. BUYER BEWARE.

Good product.. First order arrived damaged as it was not packed properly price is a little high considering I have personal knowledge of the actual cost of such materials these items are being made of. So if you can afford this item I would say do a little more research and try to find a lower priced item as with this purchase I actually paid 4 times the amount of the 4X8 sheet it was made from and recieved a fourth of the material. Do the math these companies are making a Huge profit on this type of items

I ordered this product because I had a similar one in a gold color on my steel front door. I changed my door color from red to a light gray and added all black knobs, door knocker, deadbolt, hinges. I wanted a magnetic kick plate because my previous one was magnetic and I did not want to put screw holes in my door. I had looked for magnetic kind in Home Depot because that was where I bought my previous kickplate and would have still used the same one and planed on spray painting it black but my husband threw it away because it got bent by mistake while being stored in the garage. I looked everywhere and on several sites and was lucky enough to find magnetic one. I ordered it in matte black. It arrived today, was packaged very well, and looks beautiful on my front door. You will not be disappointed if this is the type you are looking for.

Most similar kick plates are so flimsy. This will stand up over time.

A little pricey, but it fits well and looks pretty good. I have had no issues with the magnetic adhesion.
