I have been brewing for over a decade now and brewing all grain for about six years, and I must say, it's true you do learn something new each day and this book proves it.... and beyond!I experimented with different additions and flavors early on in my brewing days and had noting but bad luck/results. So going forward, I brewed classic styles that only consisted of the basic four ingredients. Playing it safe and staying within the lines, as the lines are our friends, right? After getting my hands on a copy of this book I was ecstatic. I find myself daydreaming about the crazy styles/flavors that I can produce. This book is written very well and is techy enough to satisfy an advanced homebrewer, but also down to earth and put into layman terms, so even the most novice all grain brewer could appreciate it.There are example recipes that coincide with each chapter and they look great. However, what I like most is that this book gives you the direction on how to incorporate different flavors. It's almost like it is meant not to showcase their recipes, rather get a homebrewer to think outside of the box and try something bold and unique.Being that we are getting into that time of year (holidays) I highly recommend this for any homebrewer for their collection.Great work Drew and Denny!!!

Homebrewing Adventures with Loads of Fun Recipes
This is a fun and very informative book for the home brewer. It is not a Beginner's step-by-step "How to Brew" guide because it assumes some experience with the process and terminology. Rather it is a detailed presentation of brewing process topics that promises to enlighten while entertaining with a light-hearted tone. As a home brewer of more than eight years and a member of some solid Brew Clubs I found insight about my own processes that I hadn't yet considered, and I was introduced to many other new ideas. There are also specific details about many ways to make the art and science of brewing an adventure in testing variations for the beer we create. A special bonus is the abundance of unique and intriguing recipes (e.g. pork chop beer or bacon beer) by the brewers who have produced them. There is also a section on tips for tasting and evaluating beer. Denny and Drew have produced a personal and informative book that feels like sitting around and talking "beer stories" with fellow home brewers, and it will be an important part of the library for any brewer who likes to keep trying new things. Put it next to your John Palmer books.

An excellent book on unique brewcraft!
Don't let the silly cover font and look mislead you - there's nothing silly in this book, it's excellent. As a long-time brewer (20 years), I find few books exploring new or novel brewing techniques. Drew and Denny often give two unique and useful perspectives for these adventurous techniques. Backed up by mastery-level knowledge and hands-on testing, there are no frivolous suggestions. Many highly useful tips, even for those of us who haven't used a recipe book in years. Their exploration of defatted ingredients (bacon, chocolate, peanut butter) and unique brews will expand your craft brewing skills in new directions.

Great book, fun recipes and a lot of guidance for both the newbie and the experienced brewer.
Don't mistake this for a super advanced hardcore homebrewing book and pass it over. I bought it for a friend with just 1 batch under his belt and the book delivers with both an introduction to the basics of brewing and with advanced concepts, but mostly with a wonderfully irreverent and playful philosophy! Homebrewing is a hobby to be enjoyed and Drew and Denny remind us that experimentation is the soul of the hobby.Great book, fun recipes and a lot of guidance for both the newbie and the experienced brewer.

Good for the experienced brewer
Has some good base recipes for experiments and explains the more advanced processes, geared mostly to all grain brewers, which is appropriate for this kind of in depth thinking about brewing. While I don't aspire to experimenting beyond recipe design, this is a good brewing resource and with buying

Worthy addition to any homebrewer's library.
I really enjoyed this one. Entertaining and informative. Did I read about techniques I wasn't aware of? No, because I religiously follow several different online forums, but the info confirmed a lot of what I've already read. I will keep this in my homebrew library and suspect I will be referencing it quite often. Plus, it's an easy read. Well done!

Better Homebrew
Excellent book for learning how to experiment with your homebrewing. Tips for both extract brewers and all grain - which makes it perfect for me since I brew both ways. The first item from the book I tried was to only boil about ⅓ of the extract and add the rest at the end of the boil just to sterilize it. This improves hop utilization.

When you've got the basics and want to go further
A great book for anyone who wants to know more than the basic how-to's. Not a book to teach you to brew from scratch, but when you've got the basics down and want to start to experiment it's excellent

Durchdachte Experimente
