Chrsitmas tree light masquerading as an MP3 player
So, what do you get when someone says they're going to send you an MP3 player from China for less than the price of a posh cup of coffee? Perhaps surprisingly, you do actually get something, and it does look like an MP3 player. Even more surprisingly, it comes with a cheap but functional pair of headphones and a mini-USB connector. Arguably, at this point, you're already up on the deal. The actual MP3 player, however, is a glorified Christmas light.Once you put a micro-USB card in, your PC will "see" it, and allow you to transfer mp3 files. These files will play - in order. No shuffle function, no facility to skip between albums, no display - this is as rudimentary as it gets. You can play tunes, skip one forward or backwards, and that's basically it.All of which would be fine for the money. If you want more than that, spend more money. Unfortunately, within 24 hours this unit also started switching itself off every 10 seconds despite being fully charged. Nice warm red light on the side when plugged in, and that's your lot.Oh - an added annoyance is that despite being tiny, this needlessly comes packaged with the player, lead and phones stacked top to bottom. Result: it doesn't fit through a standard letterbox. And is it worth queuing up at a sorting office for? No.

Basic MP3 player & pot-luck
I have bought three different ultra-cheap MP3 players in the hope of getting one good one.So far I have three that function, one has very short battery life and the other two seem ok.This one is the best one but be aware that your tracks will play sequentially... It's nigh on impossible to move around to pick a specific track.I suspect these are, at best, marginal QA fails, thus the price. If you can live with pot luck and don't want to spend ten times as much, buy a few and keep the good one(s).

It works
It works, which is honestly surprising! It has an awful headphone jack and therefore awful sound quality, but what do you expect from this price? Very good for the money you’re spending, presuming you already have a card to put inside. Also the headphones that come with it are not worth touching they’re absolutely awful but if you don’t care about sound quality (which if you’re buying this you probably don’t) it’s perfect!

Poor quality build, so-so sound if the headhphone socket doesn't collapse.
These aren't so bad for something you wouldn't mind throwing away after a couple of months; you get what you pay for. If you get one that works properly, fair enough; two out of the three I bought fell to bits after a few weeks.
