Bed Head Making Waves Hair Waver | For Vintage to S Loose Waves

If you want some vintage looking curls then buy this! It was cheap and does the job! You can control the temp so you don't put to much heat to your hair and the curls you get are perfect. I love this product.

Great product. Start on the lowest setting and move up gradually if needed. Easy to use, quick heat, doesn't take much more time than curling. I get so many compliments on my hair when I use the waver. The waves last for days without washing. I just use a little dry shampoo and finger comb through and my hair is ready to go for day 2 and 3. By day 3 I pull at least half of it back.

It took me a while to pick out the perfect BedHead waver, there are so many of them. I wanted to make sure I would get one that did not look like the crimping irons of my childhood. Surprisingly, there is not much posted on social media about this specific model. This model is truly unique because it produces large loose waves. I have roughly shoulder length, straight, fine/medium hair. It's straight and fine but there seems to be a lot of it It holds a curl well, I'm not one for many products in my hair, but a spritz of a nice hairspray, starting off with a styling product while my hair is still wet, allows it to last a lot longer versus au naturale' The first time using this product, I put the heat to the fullest capacity, it heats up quite quickly, the handle remained cool to the touch, but if you want to hold on with your hands at the very top of the waver, Definitely be very careful or wear one of those heat proof gloves. I don't know if it truly made a difference or not, holding it at the top, I don't know if it made it tighter, made the waves better, but we do what we do. So I'm just preparing you if you are one of the people that likes to hold the waver at the top as well. It will definitely take a little bit of experimentation. How big of a piece Of hair, how many seconds each section is "waved", etc. I also found that when I separated the waves when I was done I wasn't very fond of the finished product. But that's my personal preference. That's the best thing about this item. The versatility. How it looks on different types of hair, the different styles, two different people can get many different looks from the same waver. I personally love this item because the waves are not as "extreme" as the other ones in the series. I have naturally curly hair which tends to be a little unruly so I use various methods and different hair irons to subdue and manage those crazy curls. I wanted to try waves for the first time and this product seemed like a good choice as I didn’t want to invest too much in case I didn’t like it - yet I wanted one that other buyers liked. And so now, after using it a few weeks, I am very happy with the results I am getting. Getting the waves right was easy as the iron lends itself to fall in the right place after each wave. And it smoothed things down so the waves stood out nicely. The multiple heat settings works well for different areas, like the hair ends, which need a lower heat setting. And one thing I REALLY like is that the iron can be locked shut between waves to prevent laying the iron on something it can melt or harm. And one thing I DID NOT like was the heavy heavy thick plastic molded around the product which was so very difficult to open when I first opened it. And Bed Head is a recognized brand so I knew they would only offer a good product. All that said, I give five stars for this nice product.

I know there are quite a lot of reviews here, and the majority of them are positive— I just have a bad habit of allowing the bad ones to make me unnecessarily nervous and pessimistic about the potential outcome. The price point was something I was iffy on, because generally (not always) good quality and/or efficient hair tools are pricey. This definitely is not the case here! I followed the instructions to start on the lowest heat setting to find your hairs tolerance before going balls to the wall, and even on the lowest heat setting I got GREAT results. I was also concerned that this may create more of a crimped look than the beach style wave I was hoping for, but again, I was wrong, and this gave me the really pretty, soft, and more on the natural side looking waves that I had desired. Additionally, it heated up quickly, and when styling I only had to hold for 4 seconds at a time (as claimed in the instruction guide) to get the desired look— again, this being on the lowest setting, so I’d say the heat is sufficient as well. Unfortunately, I can’t yet speak as to the longevity (which I know was the topic of a few of the lower ratings) because I just received this, but I can say I’m super impressed with the quality and efficiency for the price! It’s a nifty lil sucker for sure when you want a cute look quickly! I’ll post an update soon with pictures of my hair ☺️

I was so excited to get this unique wavy curling iron. It's probably just me, but my hair doesn't come out looking wavy. Some parts do a little and the rest of my hair looks straight

I purchased this crimper and another brand that was pink. So far, this one is my favorite. The one I owned originally had three crimping rows BUT it's open on one side and I was constantly burning myself with it. (you MUST use the glove that comes with it - and that is drag for holding onto to the crimper). This one does get super hot on the body - but they all do. This one makes nice even waves... looks natural-ish. It was easy to use, lots of temp options and didn't leave lines like the other crimper I tried. All in all - it the best of the two I tried.

Very cheaply made, does not curl shorter hair, we ordered a different brand and that one works great. Too cheaply made, I would not buy, spend a few more dollars and get something decent. Can’t return either because once you tear open the package to use the curler you don’t have an original box anymore 😩

I really like the Bed Head making waves iron. I have fine hair that doesn't have any curl, but this iron creates beautiful waves that last all day. The double barrell is great for making beachy waves even on my shoulder length bob, that do not look too crimpy. Priced at $69, I might wait for a sale though. I'd recommend this product to a friend.

There is smoke coming once we switch it on, and this is a US pin and will not fit in Indian plug unless we buy a converter.Waves are also not effective.

I have really slippery, fine hair that refuses to hold a curl. This product creates waves easily and it stays in with a small amount of relaxation towards the end of the day, but there's still curl there. I don't even have to put it on the highest heat setting, which is miraculous in itself. So far I love it.

The results with this product were different from my expectations. I wanted wavy similar to what you get with hair straightener, it was not the case, the waves are different, more like beach style. Which is not bad actually just not what i was expecting. Also it doesn't hold long (my hair is very fine), but again i didn't go full heat cause with medium to high i could actually hear some hair burning. so was scared it would burn my hair. So all in all, does the job, relatively easy to use just make sure what type of waves you are looking for
