Perfect for school use
My son is very happy with this and perfect for school and stands out. Only downside is if decides to play recorder at home or his younger siblings take it out his school bag to play painful sounds. Does play lovely, as I did have go before handing it over to my son

Do not give to a toddler
Well, it is loud I can tell you. I mean it is for beginners! However should a small child get hold of it, it drastically changes its status from musical instrument to weapon of mass destruction. As the loud piercing noises that this can generate are by E.U. regulations required to be shipped with ear mufflers.

Cheap tat!
This recorder is terrible! It feels cheaply made and cannot hold a note. I guess that is why it was as cheap as it was. Not sure how to ask for a refund either? Gonna get a more expensive wooden one to replace it...

Recorder, is it really a percussion instrument?
Bought two during lockdown to keep the kids entertained. Great range of colours to choose from. Although this is a current model the sound is not as good as my recorder which is 40+ years old. The recorder sounds “tinny” Apart from the sound which I feel is important the children have loved learning on them.
