It's super warm, sturdy, and looks great. We bought our previously used, but it was in new shape (the box was opened and some of the electrical wires were previously twisted). This is the hardwired version, so you need to know (or learn) a few things about electricity to install this. Buy a Non-Contact Voltage Tester. The tester will tell you when a wire is hot. We had already gutted the bathroom, so running new wire through the walls was not an issue. If you are a beginner/moderate DIYer, you might consider connecting this to a GFCI outlet. So far it is working well (1week) . I must say that I expected my towel to be a little more toasty but it will do. The bars get pretty darned hot and stings if you manage to brush against them. My bathroom is very small ( 10 X 5 ft) and if I leave it on for an hr or so you can feel the warmth in the room. I have used the Brookstone towel warmer and the towel gets much warmer but the drawback is it turns off in a relatively short time and the towel will lose the heat.
