The attached photo is the OEM. There is a clip that holds the end in place. These do not come with a similar device and are not compatible to re-use the OEM clips unless you want to do some alteration work.We opted to send these back and find ones that will work as described.

No instructions, is not a direct replacement. Has popped off the joint several times all ready and the strut moves slow.

They work great and have a cushioned open unlike Sachs or other brands that open with full force which stress the body hinges. The only issue is the flat end with the hole, the outer edges need to be sanded/filed down to fit the clip on a 2008 Lexus IS250. Not a big deal especially for the price.

Let me start off by saying that I wouldn't recommend these struts to the standard 'do it yourself' mechanic.These struts will "work". But they are slightly too long, making them very difficult to install without a lot of muscle, and also don't include any clips to properly install them. The existing Lexus/Toyota clips that come with your factory struts WILL NOT WORK with these struts without heavy modification to both the clips and the struts themselves.I personally used an angle grinder to modify the tabs where the holes are in order to use the factory clips. The clips themselves also had to be slightly trimmed and bent to properly function. Without the retainer clips the struts are not secure and will fall out with repeated use.Don't buy these unless you're a problem solver. They work, they do the job once you manage to install them, but if I had it to do over again I'd buy a set with proper mounting hardware.

Tiny bit long but they fit and work good. Just have to push them in about a 1/4 inch to get them to snap on. I got these for my 2012 lexus isf rear trunk lid.

The media could not be loaded. Poorly made… I’ve tried other brands as well as OEM… other brands will at least come close to OEMs… which has the spring effect plus damping when trunk is almost fully open. This brand doesn’t have any damping but spring effect. It will SHOOT the trunk up till the trunk stoppers put it to a hard stop, means it will break the trunk hinge pretty soon. Not a defect because it happens to all of the ones I ordered. Returned right away and seller didn’t give full refund.

They don't fit the 2007 IS250. The end can be adapted if you have a grinder or file and use the clips from your original one. The one with the stainless clip in the photo is the original strut. The new one has a plastic clip which just slides off (hopeless). The fix I did may fail as I had to remove a fair bit of metal on the new one to get the stainless steel clip to fit (need to leave plastic bush in the large hole of the strut end)
