Aluminum rear window regulator slider rebuild kit for Nissan Sentra and Versa

The window regulator slider was a design fault in a lot of Nissan cars. The part was plastic, and the mold was weak causing it to break. Was so glad to find this part so we did not have to replace the whole thing, as it was easier and cheaper. You tube videos made it look harder than it had to be. My husband did not take the whole thing apart, just bent the ends on the arm so the part that held ball slid out, then slid new part in and put it back together. Now both windows roll up and down no problem. Thanks for selling his part.

This works perfectly to repair a very common Nissan Sentra failure. The BlendDoor videos explain it perfectly and it’s a really easy repair. All you really need is a 10mm socket, a drill and a rivet. Took less than 30 minutes and I now have perfectly working window. I do recommend some thread lock on the screws, and it does take a few min to achieve the correct tightness so the part doesn’t bind. This is significantly cheaper than a replacement actuator. I would definitely use this approach again.

After installing this, it's sliding.

After reading reviews of the plastic replacement sliders sometimes breaking I decided to get this aluminum version. The dimple in the end of the track complicates the install but I managed a work around by using a drift and flattening out the dimple. This allowed removal of the broken clip and install of the new one. To reform the dimple I used a small socket where the dimple is supposed to be to support the track followed by a few blows with a blunt nose drift. Pretty simple. Nissan used lithium grease on the track so that's what I used instead of the small package of what looks like synthetic grease that came with the kit. At any rate, good fix.
