Is this wood stain waterproof? Hoping to use it for soap trays...

Hi, the wood stain isn't water proof. but Using a little linseed oil would over the stain Would do the job nicely.

Hi, i am restoring an oak dining table. i plan on applying this medium oak. can i use danish oil (or something else) on top to protect?

Could it be used on primed mdf

I did not prime the part of my project which was mdf, as it is water stain it absorbs well and needs a couple of coats (mine was a black stain). It needs a finish to protect (varnish or the like) a couple of coats.

Is sanding from 150 to 240 on redwood too high for dye to absorb?

I would sand the softwood to 120 grit, making the wood very receptive to the dye. I would glide over it with 240 grit before the final coat of varnish if using.
