This device is wonderful, and all the positive points have been made in other reviews which I agree with. To add to this, in order to avoid power limit throttling on the 8750H processor, I recommend undervolting it by -150mV in the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. This got me roughly 10-20% more performance in games that were struggling. Also, depending on the fan mode, lower throttles may be set by the BIOS, so avoid "Silent" where possible.Regarding defects, the screen creaks a little when moved which is a minor complaint, but the first device that I received had a non-functional touchpad (it wasn't disabled and wasn't even working correctly in the BIOS). The second device I received was working as it should, so YMMV - luckily Amazon's return policy saved the day with this one.UPDATE:After some use, the trackpad is showing intermittent signs of defects and rattles when clicked... Disappointing that I might have to return another unit soon.

Well built and the screen and keyboard are great, but the sound through the headphone jack is terrible.The sound from a laptop headphone jack is never going to be great, but usually it's good enough for most purposes and you live with it. With this laptop the sound is so bad as to be unusable. Tried changing drivers and settings, but no better. Now using an outboard DAC.Also, the BIOS settings are very limited in terms of controlling the on board peripherals etc which may bother some users.

Nice laptop which was not heavy but powerful for stitching 100's of images from aerial photogrammetry. Some reviews said it was loud, the fan can be a little noisy for very short periods but I do not see it as an issue.

This is my first gaming laptop, and I’m very happy with the purchase. The screen is big, and the specs are awesome. I’m able to run Sims 3 and all packs/content at high graphics with no lag or glitches. It also handles other big games with no issues this far.A few downsides would be:• unable to change keyboard backlight colour• battery doesn’t last long• trackpad feels unresponsive and loose

Use this to play games when I travel, does the job well.

Decent enough but requires some tweaking to avoid overheating and thus thermal throttling.

Awesome laptop for gaming.This will play just about anything you throw at it.Bought to play Elite, which it does very well.Screen is excellent, good keyboard, touch pad good but not too fussed on the press to click feedback.

Bought for gaming, runs a game on c drive fine but only room for one at a time. Finished it and deleted, loaded all games to d drive, plays okay but stutters from time to time.
