## Description

Yes! The slate, chalk, sponge bits, pencils and flip crayons are custom designed with specific features that set them apart from traditional school supplies. Purposeful Design Features: The Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) program was developed by occupational therapists at Learning without Tears and utilizes a two-lined approach to handwriting, providing a simple and clearly successful style. This style is developmentally based, works for children of all abilities, is easy to teach and multi-sensory. Handwriting Without Tears is also “lefty” friendly and includes easy-to-learn steps for readiness, printing and cursive with both teacher and student manuals. The Handwriting without Tears Slate Chalkboard is Used to teach capitals and numbers. The Smiley face at the top left corner reinforces top-to-bottom, left-to-right directionality A Consistent sizing area of 4 x 6 inches is for learning correct letter proportions Specially Designed Writing Tools: The Learning without Tears chalk, pencils, sponge bits and flip crayons feature a smooth texture and smaller size compared to traditional school supplies. These design choices are purposeful: Softer chalk formulation requires less writing pressure Smaller diameter designed for children’s hands Smooth texture for comfortable grip Compact size encourages proper finger positioning Please note: The smoothness and small size of the chalk, pencils, sponge bits and crayons is intentional.
