Thick, Strong & Durable!
“Oerla, please round out the lanyard hole ‘hot spot’! The smaller size of this knife causes that corner to create discomfort in the palm of your hand.”“Other than that, I love this knife! It’s heavy in the hand so is an effective small chopper due to that weight. It’s very sharp and easily maintained, due to the 440c stainless steel blade. Small size, big duty capable. The thick full tang blade can move away from the picnic table and into the brush for some heavy duty bushcraft! This smaller sturdy knife can take a lot of punishment in the woods, it’s a knife you can easily carry, stow, or build tools with. The paddle sheath makes this easy to shove in your back pocket for quick access. G10 scales, thick 440c steel, and a bushcraft workhorse! Get rid of the ‘Rambo’ show pieces, and get a smaller blade with the strength and durability of any ‘Rambo’ type con.”

5 finger knife
I have bought 2 knives from this company. The firstTAC OLL-005 Which I rated highly. Add note that I would probably buy a second which I did. This time, the OLF-1009Now to the rating. The blade is 5 finger in length. Likewise, the handle is also 5 finger and length. Makes it the perfect field Knife Big enough to get the job done. Not big enough to injure the operator. Blade thickness is just about perfect. Giving it enough backbone to get the toughest job done. It's a little heavier on the heavy side, which is indicative of quality knife steel. Out of the box, it's razor-sharp, be careful. A heavier knife tends to be easier to use. As for the handle, it is a very nice size. Fits my average male hand well. As for the sheath, The kydex design as pros and cons.It can flip from horizontal to vertical. And in the vertical it carries high. My personal feelings is at this knife would be better served with a good quality leather Thumbbreak sheath ( Designed for a tactical belt clip) As the Kydex sheath, Is tough to remove and is inherently noisy. I'm thinking that this is gonna become my go to all around carry knife. This knife is rivaling a knife. That I paid 3 timesThe money for

Must have knife for any knife enthusiast!! Buy it you wont have any regrets!
Amazing product, has great weight, stays I sheath just a tiny bit of movement but will not fall off even with a ton of shaking it upside down. I recommend this to anyone, the teklok allows you to carry in many positions all over the body and very concealable, fits on every size belt with belt size adjustments and even goes as small as molle straps. Great out doors knive with a razor sharp blade and the blade is very thick, feels very sturdy in and has the thickest blade out of all knives I have. Very ergonomic in the hand but the handle is a little short for bigger hands. I will keep this knife forever and I can't wait to put it to the test in all of my outdoor activities. In would recommend this to everyone, every person should have this bad boy. I was scared it had no reviews but I know it deserves the best. I took a chance buying it but for the quality I am very pleased.

Taking price into consideration.. 8 of 10!
First impression.. Wow, super impressed with the premium packaging for the cost! Says a lot about a company.Let’s talk about the knife! I really wanted a open-carry, fixed blade, full tang for self-defense and everyday use. For me it was a toss between a K-Bar, Seal Pup, or Oerla. Once I learned the Seal Pup is made in Taiwan and K-Bar is too “military” (go figure) my choice was clear. Spend $70+ or if it’s made in China Anyway take the deal. This Is my first Oerla purchase and I’ve yet to field test but my overall impression is very high. First thoughts it’s fairly thick blade, good weight, and sharp too! The tip or “point” is perfect and symmetrical (Full size Bic for size reference). The Synthetic Handle feels good and fingers feel where to go offering good control. The base of the handle offers a hole for wrist-lanyard (not included) to avoid knife flying from hand. Base of handle Also provides nice point for breaking glass or self Defence. The Sheath is low profile and holds knife very firmly with a natural “locking” feel. Belt attachment will fit normal to “duty belt” sizes and has 2 holes for para cord attachment to external bag or Your ankle. Sheath is made of very hard plastic with matte finish.Negs about the knife.. handle my become slippery if wet by certain liquids- handle could be 1/2 inch 1 inch longer. I foresee having to tighten the hex-screws with heavy chopping. Belt clasp may wear and break over time.Take my money ;)(Plz see video unboxing I made for more info)

Great knife!
The quality of this knife is superior to many other much more expensive knives. The edge on this knife is so sharp it's scary. The fit of the knife in its kydex sheath is a pleasure, with that nice click to catch or release the knife. The g10 grip is very comfortable and makes the knife easy to use. I cannot recommend this knife more. I liked the first one i got so much I bought one for each man in the family.

Wow
Update 1 week later. Sheeth leaves much to be desired. Rivets are popping out. Molle clip fell apart, and although sharp, metal isn't as hardened as it could be. The retention has come loose and knife could fall off with a small jarring. I used an aftermarket Blackhawk molle clip and it aligns, then used a lighter to melt the sheeth and mold it back together and ensure blade retention.I have almost 4 inch paws and the handle barely fits my hands. Otherwise the knife and sheath are excellent. This can be changed to mount horizontally, i do wish it had 3 points of contact between the sheath and clip, it only has two, but it's still pretty strong. Very sharp, full tang. The pommel seems like it could be used to break a window but doesn't look like it was intentionally designed for it.
