Do these shirts need ironing? Are they wrinkle free? I am looking for a shirt that can come out of the dryer ready to wear with no need to iron.

HelloI have not ironed husbands work shirts since buying these. Either right Out of the dryer I Hang up or right out of washer I hang up to dry. Collar stays perfect no wrinkles these are one of my husbands favorite shirts. Hope this helps

For the "long" size, is that closer to the large size in the neck and chest? Or would be more like me extra-large?

They are roomy all the way around. I'm normally a comfy 3x guy and I ordered that one first. It's more like 4x. The neck and chest are roomy in both 2x and 3x. The shirt is basically made to allow room everywhere. Be wary a long is pretty long so if your not a tucker it's gonna look kind of funny. Since I don't tuck I just can't really wear it cuz I'm only 5'7. I look like I'm wearing a dress.

Do these button up to the neck?

They do not button to the neck. With the top button done they kind of have a v neck look. But not real low. Nice for work if you have to move.

How is the breathability? I work outside in high humidity trying to find a light shirt to wear

It's medium to lighter weight side, not thick like a flannel shirt, and not super thin like sheer stockings either. Label says 65% polyester, 35% cotton. It's been cold and rainy here so couldn't tell you how breathable in warm humid weather. I have to wear a t'shirts underneath because it's cold here. The material is tough like a work shirt should be. Dickies also make a work shirt that has no flaps on the chest pockets, it's also lower price so maybe it might(not sure) be lighter weight than this shirt.

Best Work Shirts on the market

I have been wearing these shirts over 10 years in the oilfield. They seem indistructable and last longer than anything else I have worn. Very soft and loose fitting so great in hot weather. They have survivied countless washes and tumble dryng in the Sahra Desert. Highly recommended.

The Only Work Shirt You'll Ever Need...

They are big for the US size listed, yes, so might take a bit of trial and error to find your UK size. As a big chap, that suits me just fine.A tad pricey for a shirt, but worth every penny - they don't need ironing, they're warm in winter and cool in summer - or at least hide sweat well. Colour doesn't fade in the wash and they're made of tough stuff. Material's a little scratchy maybe if you have sensitive skin, but nothing a drop of fabric softener can't make easily tolerable.I've been wearing these specific shirts to work in for years - from up onstage to behind the bar to warehouse and even front of house sales. Wife just threw out my 7-year old one as I refused to, despite the missing buttons, etc. Just bought a batch of five for a week's workwear and expect I'll buy plenty more in the years to come - if they keep producing them! Tough to obtain in the UK...

Simplicity and comfort from a classic shirt

I bought a khaki short-sleeved shirt to match the loose-fit work shorts in the same colour that I'd recently purchased. The colour matching is exact, although the shirt is a lighter-weight fabric. This is a classic design for a work shirt, with a generous length and square-cut bottom that allows the shirt to look great whether worn outside (as shown in the photo) or tucked in. I went for a 2XL as I like plenty of room for movement in a work shirt, although I'd usually order an XL in a more formal shirt, and this was a good decision because the shirt fits as I'd expected. I like the shirt (and matching shorts) so much that I've ordered a set in Navy Blue.

Ansome item

Great item but does come up slightly big but this isn't necessarily a bad thing as these are being used as work shirts and having the movement is important. Lovely quality. Washes and drys well.

The shirt was well made but it was really big so it was returned.
