Our garden has rather too many visitors of the pigeon variety. Actually we wouldn't mind them at all, but for the fact that they often poop all over our garden table and chairs. I researched ways to deter / terrify pigeons and many of them seemed to be ineffective (as pigeons adapt to them), which is amazing considering how thoroughly stupid pigeons are. This type of reflective tape seems to be effective, according to many reviews and is reasonably cheap. There is a tree where we are attempting to prevent the pigeons from going, which is probably why they are there in the first place, as they sit in it, make endless annoying noises and poop extensively. Anyway, I used garden wire and adhesive tape to hang strips of the reflective tape on tree branches, which will probably make the neighbours believe that we are into strange installation art. The hanging tapes do look slightly strange in our garden, but anything is better that inadvertently sitting in a chair covered with pigeon poop. I haven't seen any pigeons so far, but it is early days, I will report back further in a while.

Amazingly this seems to work. The only problem is, when it rains, the pieces stick to the surfaces, and you need to be careful when "unsticking" them.

Amended to say that they've returned. Absolutely gutted! 😓 We've had doves living under our solar panels for waaaay too long. In the end we had 10 (😳) and they're noisy and poop 💩 everywhere!!! They nest all year round, so we had limited options. Found this and had to be worth a try. Tied it around a couple of sticks and threw them on the roof and a couple of tries later, they've moved on!!! Peace (and clean patio 🙄) at last! It was bizarre watching how confused they were, but they gave up after a few hours of loitering and have relocated 😁

I wouldn't recommend buying it, it did not deter birds from our balcony.

A lot of reviews said that they tied it to a pole in their garden which you can do but I hung it from hooks on the eaves to stop birds nesting and it worked well! Only problem was its quite noisy when it's windy

We have a persistent pigeon that likes to sit and coo from 5am each morning outside our flat and then again in the late afternoon. We put up a few pieces of this tape onto the scaffolding that the pigeon sits on. A few hours later, he's sitting RIGHT next to it. Any other suggestions WELCOME!

I bought this product to try and stop birds from sitting on my pergola, it was a waste of time as they just sat on top of it

Really impressed as this arrived and for 24 hrs kept the pigeons away . However then the pigeon became brave and now does not work but for the price I don’t mind !

Amazon come sempre la n.1 in tutto ma adesso andiamo al prodotto. Devo dire che non ci speravo, infatti ne ho fatto uso quando non avevo più speranze. Per un periodo ho avuto un continuo assedio (d'assalto) così ben organizzato che a raccontarlo e molto difficile descriverlo. Il prodotto messo in una cordicella ben alta sul tetto con delle strisce lunghe 80/60cm legate con un nodo semplice mi hanno subito dimostrato che funzionava bene come repellente. Consiglio il prodotto ma bisogna studiare bene il comportamento del volatile e poi dare fastidio a loro con questi nastri.

a volte le soluzioni più efficaci sono anche quelle più semplici... i piccioni non si posano più sulla ringhiera del mio balcone dopo che l'ho...addobbata con un po' di nastro riflettente. E' una soluzione più efficace di tanti prodotti chimici repellenti. direi soddisfatto anche se c'è qualche problema per il fissaggio del nastro.
