The only iron I've been able to digest so far without throwing up.
TL; DR: I would recommend this supplement to anyone who deals with low iron but has a sensitive stomach as well, qnd cannot fully tolerate the brown liquid forms or their taste. This stuff has made a world of difference and I hope it continues to improve itself and the lives of others. Full version: Like most women, I've been anemic for as long as I can recall. My iron issues have extended to thinning hair, brittle nails, fatigue, etc; none of which are fun. I got away with livable iron deficiencies in my 20s, but now in my mid 30s, not only have these issues increased, but my fatigue and brain fog began to became disruptive to the point of exasperating attention issues, including memory and information retention, dizziness, etc; making a solution a must. Moving forward, I've tried several forms of iron ranging from the classic SSS Tonic to various liquid iron drops. Without fail, I'd always vomit, and not any small event, but an aggressive form of vomiting with after effects that took 2 or 3 hours to pass. I struggled with taking iron before eating for the most absorption, making the vomiting reaction that much more painful on an empty stomach. Even worse, sublingual drops temporarily dyed the bottom of my teeth black and took about 3 weeks to go away after discontinued use. Previous experiences with iron left me absolutely frustrated, until I came across this form of elemental iron from Vitron. Not only can I take this iron on an empty stomach, butI can continue on with my day, meaning I can go several hours before having to eat. I used to stress about planning my iron intake strategically around a fasting or OMAD lifestyle, but this iron eases that issue entirely. If I don't want to eat for another three hours, I can do that. If I want to take it an hour before consuming black coffee without any iron absorption or digestive issues, I can do that. It took a couple of days for my system to get completey used to the tablets, but nothing about these vitamins has been difficult and I find that remarkable considering how harsh iron is as a mineral and how negative the iron supplement experience has been on my system in the past. I guess the only thing to consider with this type of supplement is that, as far as I've read, elemental iron is the least effective in terms of substantially boosting your iron count, and the least easily absorbed. This doesn't mean that it doesn't work well, but rather, means it may not work as fast at boosting your numbers as other forms of high potency iron, and the iron may not absorb as easily, making it even more important that this form of iron be taken on an empty stomach and with additional quality vitamin c if possible. That said, this stuff definitely works and it took about 3 weeks of use for me to feel the improvements. Not only do they help me to stay regular, but my brain fog has cleared, my focus is better, and my energy levels have gradually improved. I take B12 and iodine as well which have also helped. Changes may be difficult to notice while you're getting used to the supplements, but go a few days without them and you'll see the difference. I would recommend this supplement to anyone who deals with low iron but has a sensitive stomach as well, qnd cannot fully tolerate the brown liquid forms or their taste. This stuff has made a world of difference and I hope it continues to improve itself and the lives of others.

The Best Iron Supplement yet!
I suffer from anemia due to heavy cycles. I definitely don't want the anemia getting worse so I always have to take iron pills. I have tried numerous brands of iron supplements and they have all made me, nauseous, constipated and sometimes even vomit! I have a large meal and then take the pills, plus increased my water, fruits and veggie intake, but nothing helped until now. The pharmacist at my local pharmacy recommended this brand once I told him that all others usually make me sick. He told me that sometimes the fillers used in the pill can irritate the stomach and then he suggested Vitron-C. He said it's a bit more costly than many of the others, but it is well worth it; he doesn't get complaints. I was excited to see that Vitamin C is included because that helped me to eliminate the additional Vit C I had to take with the others. Ladies and Gents, I can say with all certainty, Vitron-C works! I have been using it now for one month, because I take 2 pills daily, and I feel amazing!!!!! No more, shortness of breath, head fog, fatigue and sluggishness. I am so happy because I can actually start working out again! I gained sooooo much weight because I was pretty much in bed sleeping all the time. I couldn't keep my eyes open. I also walked extremely slow because I was basically gasping for air! How awful this anemia thing can really be! I was so anemic I had a transfusion despite me wanting one. My iron levels were so low, my doctor told me I will die if I don't have a transfusion A.S.A.P. (that same day)! So transfusion it was and then another manhunt for the right type of iron supplement. Well my search has come to a successful end! Thank God! Vitron-C is a life saver! No more nausea, constipation, vomiting and most of all........NO MORE ANEMIA!!!!! UPDATE: 10.28.2015 This is still a great supplement, but sometimes I get pill burp. That's when you burp and you taste the pill in your mouth. We all know iron doesn't taste good at all! Yuck! Anyway, to avoid this I take a chewable Vit C with the iron and then I have no issues. Vit C helps in the absorption of the iron. Wishing you all the best and God bless.

Great supplement.
Such a great supplement. I love that it has the vitamin-C already in it so that I don't have to take two pills at once. It doesn't cause any stomach upset either. I will say it gives a nasty tasting burp right after taking, but that does not last all day.

I think they work well. Best pill out there.
Anemic. No longer craving ice, my hip stopped hurting, more tolerant to heat, heart rate not as high (low iron affects so much). I get my levels tested at the end of August so I'm crossing my fingers!! I don't like the burps which happens sometimes and sometimes it does upset my stomach, but what people need to realize is that these are still better than all the OTHER pills! I definitely don't want infusions. Take with food if you must, just don't take it with anything containing calcium. If you're constipated, try Mag07--a gentle way to go, also available on Amazon. If my results show no improvement, I'll update and remove stars. If I have crazy insane improvement, I'll post a screenshot of my labs. :)

Simple Iron Supplement That Helps with Energy if You Need It
This is a straightforward iron supplement that works well if you actually need extra iron, especially for low levels or fatigue. It combines iron with vitamin C, which helps with absorption, and it’s generally easier on the stomach compared to some other iron options. It’s simple to take once daily and can help with energy if iron deficiency is the issue, though like most iron supplements, how well it works can vary depending on your needs.

Effective Iron Supplement
This worked very well for me and helped bring my iron levels up. I found it to be just as effective for me as the prescription iron I had previously taken, which was a pleasant surprise. I also like that it includes vitamin C, which helps with iron absorption.

Effective formulation; good value
This has been effective for me. The brand was recommended to me by my doctor since this has both iron and Vitamin C, with the latter necessary to boost bioavailability of the iron. As with any high-dose iron supplement, I did experience some stomach upset and the dreaded burps, but both were very manageable, and decreased in intensity after a couple of weeks as I became more acclimated to it. A god value for the price, and I'm pleased with the results. 5 stars.

Happy belly
Recently learned I am anemic (iron, folate and b12 deficient). I was prescribed iron but was concerned it would wreck my GI. So I hopped on trusty ole Reddit and found the anemic sub and saw lots of individuals raving about Vitron-C and how it did not cause upset stomach or constipation. I’ve been taking this along with Folate 1mg (Pure Encapsulations brand) before bed on an empty stomach and no stomach upset or constipation issues! I do take B12 (Thorne) in the morning so maybe that’s helping things run smoothly? Either way, so far I definitely recommend this. Even though it does cause slightly unpleasant tasting burps. But I’d rather experience that than continue to feel miserable and worthless from being anemic. I will update my review after I get my levels re-checked! Edit to add: took 1 pill nighty for 9 weeks and it fixed my anemia. My ferritin jumped from 6 to 15, but still extremely deficient. In the meantime I learned I’m celiac, which is the reason for all my deficiencies. So I’m doing IV iron instead of supplements. I want my ferritin around 100 to feel best. I will return to Vitron-C supplements when it’s time. Still highly recommend! Also, check out “the iron protocol” on fb for some seriously amazing information! There are very strict guides to help correct iron deficiency and tons of information to help us understand more about it.
