2014 Toyota FJ - easy installation for a genuine Toyota passenger armrest.

Bought this for my 2013 FJ Cruiser. As mentioned in other reviews, it is very easy to install. I made it difficult however because I did not realize the seat was at about an 80 degree angle. What difference does that make you may ask. Well, if the seat is anything less than at a 90 degree, when you put the armrest on it looks as if the armrest goes down too far when you let it down. So smart me kept attempting to make adjustments so the armrest would come down at a 90 degree stop. After about 20-30 minutes of this I finally realized that the seat was leaning forward a little. Once I put it at 90 degrees ( the seat) the armrest was at 90 degrees! Duh! Aside from my error, this product is a genuine Toyota product therefore fits perfectly. In agreeing with some of the other reviewers, Toyota should be shame for not including the armrest. The only reason I gave in and bought this was because I bought some Clazzio seat covers and it came with a cover for the passenger armrest and I wanted a complete look because the covers turned out great. But that's just an aside, if you're looking to install that passenger armrest on your Cruuser then this will work. Not terribly happy about the price but what do you do?

Here is what part number you should take for each model 2007-2011 get part number 08471-35801-B0. For 2013-2023 get either 08471-35810-B0 or 08471-35820-BO they both fit. For 2012 models you should remove the cap on the passenger seat and check if it’s circle get the same as 2013-2023 if it’s square get the same as 2007-2011 and don’t worry about the cap you can always reinstall it later but be careful Amazon might send you a wrong part number but you can always return it. I hope this helps yall

Installation took less than 5 minutes with 14 mm socket wrench. Armrest was a perfect fit for 2013 FJ and very happy with the results. Armrest was a bit pricey though.

The passenger side armrest fit my 2013 FJ perfectly and took less than 5 minutes to install. The bigger question that I have is why Toyota didn't include this as a standard feature but this is the wrong forum to complain about that. Overall, another great job by Amazon.

The model of FJ I got didn't include the passenger armrest, just a plastic cap where it would of been attached. So when I found that I could buy it separately, I decided to add it. I have a 2013 model, and it matched the seat perfectly, and was a one bolt install. The only thing I needed was a socket wrench with an extension, to reach down into the hole in the middle where the nut goes. Lining up the three little dimples and tightening it up, snap on the cap to cover the hole, and finished. My only problem is the high price for what you get. I can't figure out why it wasn't included in the basic FJ, its not much to add. I am happy with the purchase.
