Great bouncy and stretchy mochi with crispy edges
I recently ordered Mochiko glutinous rice flour for making mochi. The texture was just perfect—smooth and stretchy with crispy edges. It blended easily with coconut milk and I loved how simple the process was. The mochi turned out soft and chewy, with that lovely sweetness you expect. I also appreciate that I can flavor it however I like, whether it’s with matcha or some fruit puree. It's versatile and definitely easy to use, even if you're a beginner. If you're a mochi lover or just want to try making it at home, I highly recommend giving Mochiko a shot. It makes mochi-making fun and really satisfying!

Product Is Good, Packaging Needs Improvement
It’s good flour, but I really dislike the packaging. When my order arrived, some flour had already spilled out. The box is labeled as 16 oz net weight (excluding packaging), but mine was clearly short. I noticed this because my recipe requires exactly 16 oz, and I always measure my ingredients in the same bowl as I go. When I weighed one full box, it was about 0.5 oz under. I strongly suspect the missing amount leaked out during shipping because of the poor packaging.

Great for Mochi anything
The boxes arrived pretty much intact. I've made mochi waffles and mochi butter cake so far. They were delicious.

Love!
I purchased the Mochiko Sweet Rice Flour (Pack of 3) specifically for making Butter Mochi, and it did not disappoint! This flour is incredibly fine and consistent, making my mochi turn out perfectly chewy every time. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to make authentic Butter Mochi or other sweet rice desserts. Koda Farms Mochiko Flour is, without a doubt, the best!

I Love Mochi!
Who doesn’t love mochi? If you’ve never had it, you’re missing out. My favorite is the traditional red bean paste mochi. I used to buy them in the 6 pack all the time when I lived near a Chinatown but since I moved to a smaller town, no Chinatown so no mochis. That was a sad day. I finally decided after craving it for a long time and can’t get to Chinatown that’s I’d try to make it myself. OH MY GOD, why did I wait so long to make it at home?! It was so easy and tastes just like it came from those bakeries. I’m in Heaven now. Mochi recipe: 3/4 c of sweet rice flour 1/4 c of sugar Pinch of salt 3/4 c of sweetened red bean paste. Make 6 round balls of red bean paste and set aside. Combine the 1st three ingredients and stir in a microwaveable glass bowl. Add 1/2 c of water and stir. Put a Saran Wrap on it and leave a small gap for the steam to come out. Microwave for 1 minute. Take out and stir with wooden spoon. Microwave for 1 more minute and stir. Put any starch (cornstarch or potato starch) on a wooden board. Dump the heated mochi on the board and roll into a log. Cut into 6 pieces. Flatten into a disc and place red bean paste ball in the center and wrap and seal it. Slightly flatten it. All done. Eat and enjoy!
