Simple and to the point, very exciting and well written
After more than 10 years since I last studied pharmacology, I had to go back to studying for my FPGEC exam. The other material is super frustrating and I almost lost hope, till a couple of friends and past colleagues recommended this text book. Now, this text book re-ignited my passion for pharmacology, I now remember why I chose this career path in the first place, it's better than the text books I used back in school.I highly recommend this text book for anyone looking for a review of pharmacology, wether for an examination, or to brush up on your craft.

Great pharmacology textbook
I genuinely love this book. Pharmacology is a subject with which I struggle a great deal, but this book strives to EXPLAIN, not just create list after endless list. It's well written, and sometimes can be a slow read (at least for me), but the effort is well worth it. I often refer to it as a way to solidify certain drugs in my mind. It really is a great text, and I'm glad to have it. It's definitely earned its place on my shelf.

Detailed Information that's so easy to read.
I bought this book because it was recommended by my professor in Pharmacy School and it's by far one of the best investment I made. The book is full of pictures and very easy to read and understand. I especially like the brand and generic drug facts and the mechanism of every drug target is very easy to understand. I usually sell my books back after the quarter but this one, I'm keeping.

Adequate resource for pharmacology
Used in MSN-level pharmacology class. Decent explanation of pharmacology. Drugs are listed by systems and by class. Index is lacking, so take good notes. Would be nice if drugs were cross-referenced from one section to another (i.e., drugs used for htn also used for CHF were referenced as such). Alas, for a 10-week course I"m not going to complain that much.

So good I'm going to buy it as a reference!
I had just rented this book, but it is so easy to understand the medications and how they treat the diseases that I want to keep it as a teaching reference for further use. It discusses drug actions, side effects and even basic physiology of the disease. Invaluable resource!

Pharmacology is a dry subject to retain but this book makes it a joy to learn.
I was a big fan of Lippincott pharmacology during my med school days, now I convinced my wife who is preparing for USMLE to buy this book. She loves it. The book is full of pictures (often hilarious) and its simple way of explaining concepts is a joy to read.Pharmacology is a dry subject to retain but this book makes it a joy to learn.

Front Cover of book Bent
The book itself is an excellent book and required text for my wife's class; however, It arrived with a BENT cover. A brand new, very expensive book, and the front cover was ruined. Not sure if this happened in shipping or packing.

Great medical review book!
Bought this my first year of medical school and flipped through it once during my pharmacology course. THAT was a MISTAKE! Currently, in my second year of school, I am using this book as a fundamental class and board study resource! It is very well organized grouping drugs by class and by body system. Basic physiologic/biochem concepts are explained in each chapter so that the pharmacology of the drugs are presented in the appropriate context. This is a great book for a medical student to use as a quick reference when studying pharm!
