Cuts like a knife
Works great. Easily cuts 1/8 steel metal. At a great price too.

Excellent
I bought this for my son and he says it works great. He’s an exceptional metal worker though, I think a persons skill level makes a big difference with the results.

A better option than the more expensive ones
Worked OK on 120v, finding the right ratio between the two front knobs at 120v was the tricky part. Other than that, this instrument performed well and I’d like to see how well it does at 240v. I’ve never done this before, so I blew through all my tips to cut through a single bolt, once I got the technique down by accident, it immediately cut right through the bolt. So it’s frustrating to figure out for the first time, but eventually you kinda get the hang of it.Surprisingly, it actually seems to be decent quality for its price. The ones at Home Depot are almost $800.00

Hard to beat it for the money.
This is my first plasma cutter so I am not an expert but so far this has made life alot easier as I am restoring an old rusted car. It makes short work of getting old parts out of the way. My only complaint is the extra consumable electrodes that it came with were slightly different than the one that was already in the head of the unit when I got it and when I went to replace the electrode it no longer would strike and cut. I had or another set of consumable that were the shorter length like what came in the head of the unit to begin with. It is very hard to get it to strike and start cutting on rusted metals but this may be a normal thing for all plasma cutters, I dont know. I am an amateur but I would still buy it again.6 Month update...Wanted to come back and tell people that this thing is still going strong...it cuts through 1/4 steel like its not even there. I can not imagine working without it. As far as the complaints I had before I learned that you need to take a wire brush to the place you will be starting your strike from and it cuts like a dream. The rust acts like and insulator keeping it from getting started. Once started it flies through it...this is only severe rust I am talking about...like 60 year old car floor boards sitting in a field type of rust.3 year update....one of the best tools I have ever purchased. I have learned alot with it. Watch your air pressure, it does not need to be high. Also this torch is designed for direct contact to strike....no need to wire brush the rust. Still love it.Over 4 years now and it is a wonderful tool to have around. Works great.

Only 30 minutes of operation and now non-functional
Purchased this item to use in my home shop. Arrived in good order without damage. Seemed like solid construction. I got the 110/220 version and started with the 110 side of things. It blew the breaker on 110 so I had a 220 installed with correct plug socket ($80 that I won't get back with this purchase). Tried it again and it was better and worked well for 15 minutes. I must have cut about 9 inches of plate and the unit just stopped functioning. The unit turns on and the fan runs. There is a "O/C" light (Overcharge, Open Circuit, Orange County...) that came on as a result of when I try to engage the machine. I changed the tip, unplugged it, reset the breaker, redid all of the connections, and inspected the unit for damage. Nothing I could see was wrong. I checked the "owner's manual" (all seven pages of poorly worded phrases) which didn't even list the "O/C" light. The fault checklist mentions damage to a board, and as though I am to inspect it. Even though, they clearly state that I should not "dismantle" it.So the obvious con is that the unit failed after about 30 minutes of use (max).Other cons:Owner's manual is of no value. Doesn't even mention how much PSI you should have running through the machine from the air hose. The air fittings and tighteners are poor and leak.Received this email from the seller. Did not disappoint at all
Bought for a food plant, where everything we do is stainless steel. Got tired of cutting everything with an angle grinder.Stainless steel takes almost twice the heat as mild steel. For $200, this performs as well as the $2,700 my last job had. I’ve had it for a month and used 3-4 times a week, normally on 3/32 or 1/8” sheet metal. Will cut both on 110V, roughly 25 amps. Getting up closer to 35 output amps, it will trip our 15 amp breaker occasionally. But on 220v input, it cut 1/4” steel no problem. Roughly 55 psi input. The ground lead that it comes with has a thin cable and is short, but it’s a dinse-25 connector so can be replaced cheaply. Comes with a few extra cups, collets, and electrodes. The air regulator and lines and clamps work as they should. The power cord could be longer, but that’s an easy fix. The cutting torch isn’t bad, and the protector on it is nice.Over all, fantastic for the price. Hasn’t died yet. Nice and portable, worked out of the box and setup is very easy.
